    Morning all!

I think im coming down with a cold too, so my sympathies and :grouphug: to those also suffering! I woke up fairly late today because the cat had decided to come and sleep with me (which is a rarity in itself) and had got on my pillow, her paws in my hand and her head resting on my hand. And she stayed there for hours so who am I to disturb her!!?? It was very sweet anyway!

Had a nice day yesterday, saw my friend, went and had a haircut (yippee - I can feel wind on the back of my neck again!) and had a generally relaxing day. I had a very interesting chat with OH last night about money and stuff, the upshot was that he completely agrees with me, understands exactly what needs to be done, and then said 'why dont you look for a job that you think will be really fun and interesting, even if the pay isnt great, I dont think its really necessary for you to work in somewhere you really hate just to get every penny you can'. I nearly fell out of bed with suprise at that comment!!

So - my plans for the day are to have a little tidy up, make some cushions (that I still havent got around to making!) and make something nice for dinner.

Hope you all have a great day!

    Jo xx

  • Morning all. What a beautiful sunny day, but oh so cold. Thankfully it is now November so I have no qualms about putting heating on later.
Have been to Sainsburys for a couple of essentials - my mum is up for the weekend and want to make her a lemon drizzle cake so needed the sugar. Also want to make her a weetabix cake but she is on a diet so won't appreciate me doing that!
Off to get DD in a min from school. Will be going swimming after lunch and then having a warm afternoon in the house.
DD wet the bed for the first time ever last night and is a bit upset and embarrassed by it so lots of fun in store for her today.
Have decided the big wicker chest I salvaged off a skip would be great in DS bedroom with all his toys in and his garage can then go on top - will clear a lot of floor space! So will get that sorted out today.
Lunch will be some nice hot soup I think with HM bread and dinner tonight will be veggie bangers and mash with onion gravy. Think I will make a sponge pud to have with custard, too.
Hugs to all who would like them.
    Have a warm day!

    Hello Folks,

Today is the day that I have decided to give up smoking! After 22 years of puffing my head off I finally think now is defo the time to quit!

I reckoned up how much I`ve spent on cigarettes since saturday and it has come in at a whopping £26 and it`s only Wednesday! I do tend to smoke a rediculas amount when I`m sat at the Pc.It`s just purely habbit and smoking for the sake of it mostly.
I do know I have some of the nicotine patches somewhere, will have to sort the kitchen drawers out to find them,so at least the kitchen drawers will be tidied today.

Just thinking of what I can spend my ciggy money I`ll be saving on? Most likely it`ll go on extra food shopping to fill the freezer up.

Anyhow what I`ve got planned for today is to go to farm foods and get 2x2 litre`s of milk for £1.60.what a bargin that is.Also to give two rooms a really good deep clean. As per usual do the clothes washing and make some bread buns.

Reading that it`s not very exciting, what can I do exciting for free? Everyday just seems to be the same,at least I`m having a week off work, but I am feeling fed up as I have done nothing extra for being off work.

Anyway moaning over and I have 5 ciggies left, gunna try and make them last.

    Morning all,

Another day of stripping for me ;) .... walls that is .... DH and I had a discussion last night about this house and how we want to get it completed as soon as is humanely possible, so we'll see how far we can get.

I tend to go to sleep in the Winter, so really need to keep motivated.

Greenhouse is almost up, need to get some replacement panes, and then I need to figure out how to insulate it, and persuade DH that power out to it is a good idea!

Kyle, I lost mine a while back, if you look on the Panasonic website, you can download a new manual for free.

Right, time to get steamy and strip ;)

    Afternoon everyone.

pennypincher Glad you're feeling a tiny bit better, hopefully that will continue.

hazzie123 Congratulations and good luck! I need to start giving my quitting date some consideration.

    Good Luck Ticklemouse!!!!

Well I didn't get the job I was hoping for but I took a leap and quit my current job anyway. I've never felt so good, I don't have that awful feeling in the pit of my stomach every day before I go in now, and I have a month to find something else.

I'm a bit worried today because my little cat didn't come home last night and obviously since it was halloween I'm thinking the worst.

I`m sure your little cat will be fine.Probably found another cat to play with and gone off for some fun;)

Dont forget to keep your cat in on bonfire night if you can.Although saying that the amount of fireworks going off round here you`d need to keep a cat in for about a month!

Bonfire night isn't celebrated in Ireland so all the fireworks and sillyness take place at halloween instead.

  • [STRIKE]Morning[/STRIKE]afternoon all :o already!

Good luck to Ticklemouse, hope it all goes well.

Hugs to those feeling under the weather.

I'm one of the bad sleepers too, got up at 3.00 a.m., made a cup of tea and decided to finish off the quilted placemats I've been making a friend for Christmas. OH woke up and came creaking downstairs to see where I was  not sure what he thought I was up to! :rotfl:

I remembered I'd forgotten to put the BM on last night so it went on at 4.00 a.m. and I woke to the smell of fresh bread, yum.

Did the supermarket shop, then came home and made my Very First Christmas Pudding, ever!! :j I've never done one before in all the 27 years of marriage! It was very easy, should have done it years ago. Have just made a shepherd's pie for dinner so am relaxing for half an hour with my third cup of coffee this morning, oops.

Breakfast: Bagel with jam (comfort food!)
    Lunch: Leftover chicken with pasta
    Dinner: Shepherd's pie, broccoli

    Have a good day everyone
