  • Morning everyone

Hope everyone is over the lurgy now?

Plans for today are limited as w*** calls shortly but the WM has just finished so will be sorting that out before I go, toilet has been cleaned and I just need to get some bread and dinner out of the freezer before I go.

Came home late last night to find the remains of a huge pumpkin splattered all over the road so goodness knows what happened. Probably T&T'ers - I asked OH whether he knew and he said he hadn't got a clue even though he'd been in the house all night

I'm still on a mission to lose a bit of weight before our hols and my tummy does look a little bit flatter so I'm quite pleased!

    B - Cheerios
    L - Soup & Oat Cakes
    D - Cheese & Potato Pie & Baked Beans

Have a lovely start to November xxx
Its nice to be important but more important to be nice!
  • Over the past 2 days I have saved a total of £2.52. One was a buy 2 for X amount offer & another was a bogof. One was a seasonal buy & the other is something I'd only buy on offer iyswim. So does the saving count towards my Pin money challenge?

I have never done a PMC before so I thought I'd start simple with bogofs but I can't even get the hang of that, lol!!!

I posted the above in the correct thread but not got an answer & I am impatient ;) HELP!

    Thanks

    Good morning everyone!

Well, as tiredmum says, it is really cold here - but sunny and bright too.
So the washing is out on the line, which is nice. D/w emptied & everything put away, recycling stuff put out, so I am on track with the morning's tasks.

Today's activities, apart from getting DS to get on with his "school"work includes being part of a team from our church that leads a monthly service in a care home in the next village. Then this evening it's our weekly kids' club.

Dinner will be soup & fresh bread. (soup courtesy of Sunday's roast chicken, because after dinner I put the remains in the pressure cooker to make stock). DS1's fiancee's family carved a pumpkin yesterday, and when she was talking about it a week or two ago, she had no idea that you could actually eat the contents - her mum always throws it away!!!! So when she & DS came to dinner yesterday she brought a container of pumpkin flesh for me!

PP - glad you are a bit better than yesterday.
Best wishes to everyone else too.
TM - hope all goes well with the mystery business

    Have a good day!

    Morning all.

Total disaster here, I can't see any avatars, smilies or thanks button. Can't use smilies either, but I can use the thanks button by hovering over where it should be then clicking (I hope I clicked in the right place lol).

Master troo 'moved out' at the weekend - he likes to call it 'moved out' but he's actually only staying with a friend for 6 weeks. We've seen more of him than when he lived here ROFL. He keeps popping in for things he's forgotten.

The second load is in the washer, I have to clean out the pets then straighten up the kitchen - new carpet laid last night.

    Good Luck TM
(I think I clicked the beer smilie - hope it works lol)

    Good Morning Everyone

Havnt read the thread so hope everything is ok, will catch up later. (((hugs))) to anyone who needs them.

Just about to drop DS to school then rush off to college, need to go to bank whilst im there, pick up a couple of birthday cards and a couple of Xmas pressies. That will mean inlaws are all done and will try and wrap them later this week or early next.

Halloween went brill here last night and the leek and onion soup went down well as did the 'real' homemade hot chocolate coz it was very very cold.

Still cold this morning but lovely and bright - looking forward to having a nice coffee in a posh cafe this morning.

    Have a great day

    Morning all

Brrrrrr chilly here this morning - had to resort to putting the electric heater on this morning for half an hour in the kitchen (still got no heating and builders have done a dissapearing act...as they do). DD1 has gone to school in winter coat, hat, scarf and gloves where as yesterday she just had a waterproof jacket on - amazing how quick it can turn...supposed to get colder here by the end of the week too! :j I love this time of year.

Enforced confinment with DD2 and her impetigo means that I'll get the ironing done whilst she lounges in her pit for another hour (well if you can't have a lie in when you're off poorly then when can you..) then we're going to make a start on making some christmas cards, I've got about 47 to make so best I get busy.

My wardrobe clean out yesterday was great, was nice to slide back the doors this morning and lay my hands on what I wanted straight away, I'm sure it would stay tidier if DH didn't keep all his stuff in there too. ;)

TM - Good luck with your launch today - best of luck with your new venture - whatever it is.

Mrsmortenharket - We got a new cat carrier from Argos earlier in the year - nice cheap but sturdy baskets with completely hinged lid so easier to get them in and out - only about £7 - HTH

Toad in the hole for dinner tonight with roast parsnips, pots and sweet pots and an onion gravy.

    Have a good day all.

  • Morning all :D

Well my nans funeral was Monday and unfortunately with all the family problems it didn't go to well. Hey ho, at least it's over with now and I don't have to deal with them all much longer.

Anyway still not fully back on track so not much OS'ing for me at the moment. I am going home this evening after w**k to clean the house through so I think thats a start.

Also off to invest in a slower cooker so if anyone has any recomendations let me know.

Also does anyone know how I can press flowers as one part of the family were going to have all the flowers from the funeral shreaded but I managed to save a few that I wouldn't mind pressing for my mum and sister so if anyone knows the best way to do this or could point me in the right direction that would be great.

As always take or leave the :grouphug: as needed.

Had a horrific evening, so hoping all my new friends here on OS can help me on the thread I'll start in a sec.

Upside is I've got my first star!!!!! Very proud!!!
