Evening all,
I won't post too much as it's been a pretty uneventful day!
Work was crazy busy so passed in a bit of a blur.
Total spends of £5.55 which was:
£1.35 on chewing gum, low cal popcorn and some cookies for DB
£4.20 bus fare
I've eaten healthy today and done 35 mins of exercise so happy with that.
Also cooked a healthy meal with enough left over for tomorrow and made lunch for tomorrow.
Seeing a friend for lunch tomorrow and going out with my dad after work.
Speak soon, Cup Cake xx

This week has been crazy busy, i've been working and sleeping with not a lot inbetween.
I had a spurt of energy tonight so I came home, washed up, sorted the filing which has needed doing for months and am just in the process of sorting through my wardrobe. Bathroom cleaning still not done, although I will make a special effort to do it after work on Saturday.
Plans for tonight involve making tea, showering and having an early night.
Money is looking ok. I had to take my spends out today instead of tomorrow and i'm living off £40 instead of £50 this week but i'll be working on Saturday and doing 7am-6pm shifts next week so won't have much chance to spend anyway.
I'm on holiday the week after next so looking forward to that, I didn't manage to save anything extra but i'm just going to be really careful and not waste money. Realistically I should easily be able to live within £100 for 5 days as long as I don't spend on anything stupid. I'm only going to chill out for a couple of days, some nice relaxing walks on the beach will do the trick.
My mum needs her laptop back and is coming to collect it tomorrow but DB now has a work laptop so said I can use his whenever I like which has worked out nicely.
I'm working 7am-1pm tomorrow so i'm spending the afternoon with my mum, im getting my nails done (free!) so should be a nice day.
Not a lot else to report really, i'll be back tomorrow for more of nothing.
Cup Cake xx

Hi all,
I'm still around, just working crazy hours at the moment. I'm working 13 hour days and then on call when not at work! Must think of the money.
I'll post more on Friday when I finish work for 2 weeks and I have some spare time to sit and type.
Speak soon all,

Good Morning All,
I've just come off my final on call shift. I am officially on my 2 weeks holidays!
I've been MIA again this week as I've been work 11 hour shifts and have been on call for another 12 hours through the night. With travelling etc I have had literally NO time to myself, I've been getting home, eating showing and sleeping... exciting ey!!
Money is ok, I haven't had chance to spend much but I just have to be really careful before my hols on Mon.
I haven't done a single piece of housework apart from washing up this week so there is much to be done this weekend.
Listy list:
- PACK! (main priority although have to wait until i've done the washing)
- 2 loads of washing, drying, ironing and putting away
- Sort mums birthday present
- Food shopping (for DB next week)
- Sweep and Vacuum everywhere
- Get last minute essentials for hols
- Get nails done by mum today
- Pamper self before hols
I think thats it for now, however i'm sure i'll add some things on.
I'm seeing my mum today and i'm spending time with DB tomorrow before I go so I have to fit everything else around that.
I'm now going to get a shower and go and get my mums bday pressie!
Have a good Saturday all,

I'm getting there, it'll be a busy day tomorrow but it's just housework, packing and pampering so I shouldn't need to leave the house.
I took my change to a machine today to change them to notes, I got £20 which I will take on my hols.
Tea time and bed for me, it's going to take a while to catch up on my sleep, i'm still exhausted.

Good Morning,
I was up at 7:30 this morning, so much for a holiday lie in!
It's getting sooo cold now, we're having to put the heating on. The sun looks like it might grace us with it's presence but it's still flipping chilly.
I went and bought a book yesterday for my 6 hour journey tomorrow to keep me sane and bought some mags too. I'm really getting into another author so her books should keep me busy for a while. There are plenty of charity shops where i'm going so a book opportunity to stock up on cheap books.
I'm taking £80 with me but this only has to last me 4 days and I get paid on Friday.
I got started on the housework straight away to try and get it over and done with asap.
The kitchen is finished and the second load of washing is in but there's still lots to do.
I'm going to do a new list for today.
New listy list for today:
- Sweep kitchen floor
- 2 loads of drying, ironing and putting away washed clothes
- Put DVD's onto laptop for hols (a job for DB)
- PACK!!!
- Vacuum conservatory
- Sweep and dust living room
- Sweep hallway
- Vacuum stairs
- Clean bathroom (I know I know..)
- Vacuum bedroom
- Pick up bedside table from aunties
- Mow lawn (if sun comes out)(hopefully last time before winter)
Thats plenty for today and should take me most of the day. I'm also going to spend some time with DB before I go as well so i'd best get on. Speak soon, Cup Cake xxLife isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain...0 -

Needless to say the weather didn't hold up for long enough to get in the garden. Ive done everything else on my list though and I feel very satisfied with myself
.
I've also had a relaxing day as well as being really busy so waking up at half 7 must have been a good thing.
I'm about to spend some time with DB then get some sleep so that im not tired tomorrow for my journey.
I'll catch up with everyone when I return a week on Wednesday.

Good Morning,
I'm home!!
I had a lovely time on my holidays, I spent most of my time chilling out and walking. I was looked after very well and barely lifted a finger.
DB joined me on Sunday and we returned together yesterday followed by a lunch with his mum which was lovely.
So onto money...
After worrying for weeks about not having enough money for the holiday I actually ended up coming home with some. I went with £80 hoping it would last me 4 days until I was paid but it actually lasted me the whole holiday and I came home with £30 :T I think that's the first time ever that I have had money left over after pay day!
I now have £25 left because I bought the drinks at the meal yesterday.
DB and I were paid on Friday and so we finally know how much we're going to get monthly between us.
We have paid £1000 off the debts this month. There is potential for more but I've kept £170 to one side as a sort of emergency fund and if I don't need it I'll be paying off further debts with this. DB had some more of his own debts to pay off which he'd gathered over the last month so he paid those off too.
So debts currently stand at...
£997 - CC1 - 26%
This is where we've just paid off £1000 as this will help to decrease interest payments.
£1261 - CC2 - 13%
£2470 - OD1 - 50p per day interest on anything over £300
£298 - OD2 - 50p per day interest on anything over £300 (currently not paying interest on this)
Total = £5026
Money left this week:
£75 Spends (inc £25 mentioned above)
£50 Food
This is to last me until Friday so i'm likely to have some spare. This will also go into the emergency fund until my next payday when it will go onto debts.
Rest of month: £300
Emergency fund: £170
I'll post back later with something slightly more interesting than my money.
Hope everyone is well!

Good evening,
I spent today having a bbq with my family which was lovely.
I bought some food to keep us going until Friday when the budget renews and I will do a bigger shop.
A total spend of £14 today so a massive £36 saving on the food budget this week, if this is still there at the end of the month I will pay this off the 2nd OD and try and get this down using anything left over at the end of the month.
A family member gave me some apples so i'm going to make a crumble this week. I just have to learn how to make custard, I just can't do it for some reason
.
I'm spending tomorrow in the garden if the weather holds up and that'll hopefully be the last time before winter.
I'm feeling a little down, I think I have post holiday blues so i'm going to have an early night and hope I feel more positive in the morning!
Goodnight all,

Today has been a NSD
I can't remember the last time I had one to be honest.
My budget renews tomorrow. The money left in my food account is going to be added to my 'rest of the month' section and anything left will be paid off the debts. Anything left in my spends will be added to the emergency fund.
Money left this week:
£50 Spends
Rest of month: £100
£50 Food
Rest of month: £136
Emergency fund: £244
I've felt better today but still not 100%.
I've spent the day gardening and pottering around the house, I made a lovely crumble and a sunday lunch for tea. I will need to pop to the supermarket tomorrow for something for tea.
Hope everyone else has had a lovely day,
