Just trying to say that some post office workers do a good job, and you shouldn't 'tar them all with the same brush'.;)

only need to send another 78,999,999 and you have a comparable figure :)
I send alot by UPS or FedEX and nothing has gone missing :)

To be fair its a sorry state of affairs when the postal service is an embarrasement

Ok again, how will this do some good. Its great for people to keep saying this but just how will it make them any better?
Clearly it needs change and reform given that a notable proportion of the 62 or so million adults in the UK have suffered some kind of 'loss' at the hands of RM.

The fact that we have DX for sensitive papers tends to show just how honest and reliable professional people consider RM to be.

Perhaps you should offer your views on why you think it would not make it better?

given you are a pro privatisation poster
surely you want to make your case?
how do you see the universal service obligation working?
    the post office network?
do you plan on having a fully private system so every company will deliver its own mail to every door in the UK?

I just want a postal service that isn't an embarrasement!

I love Royal Mails "Open your post and read it and place it incorrectly back in the envelope" service. Is that free or an optional extra?

Go read someones post and then incorrectly deliver it. Oh wait.

Your "I am an ex postie but will defend the royal mail to death" posts are funny

They moaned about BT having a monopoly they gave the consumer choice, Now its time for consumers to decide who delivers their mail
If BT still had that monopoly would we still have to rent phones from them for a fiver a month? Would modems have reached 9600 baud? Would there be broadband? Would it be £200 a month like their Kilostream product?

BT is full of lazy, overpaid, underworked twonks with limited savvy - but they won't come into your house and steal from you. Your local postal staff, well that's a different matter.....

Well, depends if you count BT sending you a bill that has a £4 payment charge of any payment method accept sending it via Western Union to the payment officer in Nigeria.
