Yes that's right - if you list at 99p and only have the basic 1 photo option through ebay then the listing is free - it tells you how much it'll cost before you press list, in case you've made a mistake and clicked something by accident.

Blimey I think I've given myself RSI from three hours listing baby clothes! On the plus side two of the items already have bids so I'm feeling motivated :)
  • cakelover - you are allowed more than one photo free for clothes. I think it's three or four.

  • Hi all

Can I just check about paypal fees?
I understand that there are insertion fees, and final value fees (10% of the item selling price) but where do paypal apply fees as I haven't noticed them??

    Thanks, happy ebaying everyone xx
Pay off as much as you can in 2011: £780/£8000
    Vouchers through surveys/shopandscan: £10/£250
    Ebay/Paypal target for 2011: £109/£1000
  • When the money lands in your paypal account, they take fees from the overall amount.

Can anyone help me please? I sold a brand new door lock for 99p on ebay. A guy bought it and then sent me a message to say he didn't want it which is a bit annoying, well I did ignore his message and ebay automatically opened an unpaid dispute. This is a lot of hassle over 99p!!! He sent me the following message below today. He is wrong in what he is saying isn't he?? I don't understand how he thinks he can threaten me with legal action when he's the one in the wrong!!!! Please help!!! This is his message:Despite explaining the reasons for not going ahead with the purchase of your chain, you went ahead and record unpaid item case on my account. Why is this? Is this not for those who received the items, but fail to pay for them?

I am disappointed that you went this route which is preventing me from making purchases on Ebay, even though I have not received the items. Have you never in your life bought anything that you later decided against?

I believe if you look back at the records you would realised that I made my decision not to go ahead with the purchase known within the time stipulated by Ebay and for that matter the Rules relating to online trading in this country.

Could you look into this and get the unpaid item cases removed from my account as it is seriously affecting me?

If this couldn't be done, as this is the only way I make my livelyhood, please note that I would be compelled to resume legal proceedings against you to compensate for loss of income.

  • Nickyj- I'm pretty sure it is him that is in the wrong & being very rude about it at the same time but hopefully someone witha lot more knowledge & experience of e-bay will be along to give you a more definite answer!
