They wear gloves and face masks when sorting the stock after it goes from ours - recent finds of one of my shops include "soiled" duvet (of the brown variety!)Not been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/1550 -

Thanks PrincessLou, I appreciate the advice. I sell a lot of my own stuff but do go to a lot of jumble sales with a friend and we both sell quite a lot of jumble sale clothing on ebay. I have been warned about this before. Don't want to sound like I'm trying to dodge the taxman at all but how do you prove it all as you can't show reciepts etc. Thinking maybe I should register as a business as I would like to sell more and really don't want to get into trouble!!! Any advice would be appreciated. Also do you pay more in fees etc as a business? I'm assuming you do?Sealed pot member #1950 - £44.79

Thanks for the advice - I was thinking of only selling the bras on (I really, really can't see anyone wanting used undies of the lower variety!!!! :rotfl:) but even then, I don't think I'd buy second hand bras so didn't know if it was worth it.
So is it ok to put the used (but washed, don't worry lol) undies into a charity bag to be sold for rags? Else I will just end up throwing them away.:idea:Debt at July 2012: £12,862.57

I put used washed pants and socks in the charity bins in car parks, Yorkshire Air Ambulance mainly as they say on their website the take rags specifically. That's because I feel the people emptying those would expect things like this and are properly equipped, having volunteered in a charity shop I know they aren't always.Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

Yes, it is tricky, and to be honest i don't know how you'd deal with jumble sale items considering you never get any receipts for things. Maybe someone else on here would know?
It is a good idea to register as a business with Ebay though, as i've heard that they do notice if you're selling alot of one particular item, and therefore buying to sell on. It's really simple though, nothing to it, to switch from a personal account to a business account (or you can have two seperate accounts, one for personal items and one for business) and it will then allow you to buy and sell more. The final value fees and Paypal fees aren't any different, the only difference is that you have to pay 10p to list 99p items, instead of getting it free like personal users do.
It is worthwhile just for the peace of mind of it. You wont be nervously waiting for them to catch you out. Plus, like i say, it will allow you to buy and sell more and therefore make lots more lovely money.Mortgage - £105,5000 -
£27.22 for me so far today - reduced the price on a BIN and it was snapped up. In one hand and out the other though as another non payer on quite a large item. 2nd chance offer gone out this pm so fingers crossed that will resolve itself - just annoying as I wanted to post everything off today. If you do take them to a charity shop rather than clothing bank just tell them they are rags when you donate them - that will save them sorting your bags. MOST shops should be happy to take rags, but it might be worth ringing ahead first just in case they don't, which is possible for the smaller charitiesNot been here in years! Hi everyone. HI all
well done on some great january totals! I have been a lazy git and not put a single thing on, so am gonna get myself up today and sort out the house to get Ebay ready. It is freezng outside, and dont really need to go out for anything so have no excuse to not sort out the decluttering and get my stuff on Ebay.
I keep talking myself out of it, thinking no one will want my stuff - but as we all know most things will sell!
I have only used tutbolister once ages ago. Is that the best way to list lots of things in one go?? Was thinking i could spend today sorting stuff and taking photos, and then put them on turbolister tomorrow - does that sound right to you ebay experts???
thanks0
