Hi plzhelpmesave - I am a complete novice at e-bay myself but one thing that I have learnt from these threads recently is that as an alternative to turbolister, you can use the facility in e-bay itself to sell things at a future time or date and as long as you then actually remember to ask for them to be listed before that time, then you don't have to pay anything extra. As I can't actually remember what this facility is called, I am probably not helping much but hopefully someone will be along soon who can explain it much better than me!Grocery aim £450pm.Spent £519 August, £584 July, £544 June, £541 May, £549 April, £517 March, £517 Feb,£555 Jan, £573 Dec, £465Nov, £561Oct, £493Sept, £426Aug,£496 Jul, £528Jun, £506May,£498April, £558 March, £500Feb, £500 Jan, £490 Dec, £555 Nov,£566 Oct, £505Sept, £450Aug, £410 July, £437 June, £491 May, £471 April, £440 March, £552Feb, £462Jan0

Hello GB
I am a business seller and if you had emailed me about an item lost in the post, then i would ask you to wait 14 workings days from when I sent it (that's because Royal Mail don't recognise anything as lost until 14 working says have past). If it item had still not turned up then I would refund you and then claim off RM myself.
The business seller should know all of this if they are reputable, it is not up to you to claim from the RM it is the sellers responsibility.
I have copied and pasted from the ebay business seller section, which is found in the Sell tab along the top of the ebay page.
http://pages.ebay.co.uk/businesscentre/law-policies/returns.html
Do I have to replace or refund an item that gets lost or damaged in the post?
When a business sells an item to a consumer, the default position is that any loss or damage to the item that occurs in transit is the responsibility of the business. This means that you are likely to be required to replace items lost or damaged in the post.
Most eBay business sellers choose to replace lost and damaged items as a matter of course, using insured postage services where cost effective. However, if you'd like to know the precise legal position on loss and damage in transit as it relates to your business, we recommend you seek advice from a lawyer, Consumer Direct or similar professional.
It's their responsibility to sort it. Good LucK !!!8 years of being on a DMP finished 3/3/140 -

Hi
Thank you for your quick & prompt reply.
I have items lost in the post & I give a refund & sort it out with RM myself, I was a little concerned when they said that its basically my fault as I should have picked the correct postage!
So do you think I will be better waiting the 14 working days & then contacting then again?
Many thanks for your help

Hi
I normally ask them to check with their local sorting office to see if it is being held as sometimes they don't leave a card. One time I was missing quite a few parcels and when I went to the sorting office they had them there.Sealed Pot Challenge #0160 -

Thanks for the reply. Thought that option cost a few pence more per iem..?? have hundreds of things to list and gonna brave the kids bedooom now and will no doubt gather more!!0 -
plzhelpmesave - yes it does cost if you actually use the facility to its full extent but from what I understand, if you complete the details tonight & state that you don't actually want to start the listing until say, next Saturday at 3pm, providing that you remember to go back into it before 3pm next Saturday, e.g Friday, you can then ask for it to be listed immediately & therefore you will not have to pay this extra. You would only have to pay it if you don't "interupt" the scheduled start date. Hi everyone.
I've only ever sold 2 things on ebay at 99p each and i don't remember what i came out with but i remember it was much. can i just check if this is right, I've got lots of clothes to sell, might sell some in bulk and just want to make sure i've got it right.
If i sell something at 99p, i get 25p taken off for insertion, then 3% from paypal, which comes to around 55p, so i only get 44p profit? I know there are free listing days, but i thought i read somewhere insertion is free if you list at 99p or under?I could be completley wrong, am a begginer! Thanks in advance,
