I need some advice here please, I sold a coat and have recieved this messege :
Hi. Thanks for the quick postage, the jacket arrived yesterday. As I'm an 18 and it's 14-16 I was expecting it to be on the small side, but as I'm loosing weight at the moment that isn't a problem. Sadly though it's enormous on me! Sleeves reach past the end of my fingers and it's big across the chest. Such a shame. The label does say what you'd put on the ad though, don't know how they get these sizes!

Im not sure how to reply, i dont offer returns, the item was as discribed, and i really can't see how it would be enormous, its definatly a proper size 14-16, thats the only reason i've sold it as I AM a size 18 and its now too tight, and i have an average sized "chest" (lol)
She's not actually asked if she can get a refund, im struggling to come up with a reply :o

I dont want to end up out of pocket, i charged £4 p&p, and it actually cost nearer £7 to send.
    It sold for almost £40.

    Help!!

I would reply wishing her well on her weight loss and suggesting she pops it back into eBay?

    Hi all,

    Can I join please?

I have 3 items on ebay at the minute (all with watchers, no bids). I would really like to make a real effore with ebay to a) get some cash to pay off cards and b) declutter as we will be moving house later in the year.

Will try and get a couple of things on over the weekend - the scheduled listing tip is gonna come in really handy!thanks

Oh ok, I think I understand now. So you upload and get everything ready to go at stupid o'clock but schedule it for sometime in the future, and then at reasonable o'clock you go on and click a couple of buttons to change it so it starts immediately? That makes sense - thanks for the tip!

Yeah you're probably right re January/no money.....but I need the money now! haha. I guess I'll just have to be patient and, as claudia said, keep plugging away! Wish me luck!! :D

Yes thats exactly it. Good luck! I need to get some more on now that people are being paid and have money again. Maybe I'll have a bit of time tomorrow

    Hi again all,

I'm really upset right now!! I sold a pair of BNWT trousers last week, and the buyer contacted me a couple of days ago as she said they weren't as described. I replied asking her for more info, then after she sent her response I replied again.

She has 2 issues. 1) she says they are not the size I listed them as. But I got the size from the labels, which are still on the clothes, so if anyone's wrong it is the manufacturer!
    2) she is complaining that I advertised them as 'ladies' trousers but the label states 'girls' trousers (please note: I bought them in the adult dept of H&M). However, one of the photos clearly shows the label she is referring too (it's a big stick-on thing) and it is really obvious from the photo that the label says 'girls bootcut trousers'.

I explained all of the above to the seller, and said that I believe I haven't missold them, and that unfortunately it looks as though she didn't read the item description properly before bidding. That was yesterday. However, today she has left me negative feedback, and said the item wasn't as described!! I am absolutely fuming! I have emailed her and asked her to explain why she still thinks they're not as described, and asked her to look at the listing again so she can see the above. I'm really upset that she has left negative feedback (and that I left her positive feedback!). Is there anything else I can do?!

Sorry to ramble, I just can't believe that she can say that! And the trousers only cost her a measly 3 quid in the first place! :(

I'm afraid there isn't anything you can do about her feedback unless she sees sense and changes it herself. Its always upsetting when someone leaves you a neg but try not to take it personally and just consentrate on the extra money you are going to make instead. People like that are impossible to reason with - she is clearly a moron if all she is moaning about was described in the listing originally. Either that or she cannot read.

You can post a reply to feedback - the link is at the bottom of your feedback profile page. Potential buyers can see how you respond to her feedback. Just be factual and say all was clearly described

I sold something at work last week with a big photo of the box with a sign on saying "calf length" and the first bullet point in the listing said "calf length" - they moaned this week that the things were not knee length like they needed! Idiots

    Hi everyone.
I have just started ebaying again and although I have always had 100% feedback, it's still only in the 30s. I have sold a few things recently but only had feedback from two buyers. Should I give the other buyers feedback in the hope that it will prompt them into reciprocating?
    Thanks
  • I had someone leave me a neg once as their item did not arrive, they had not e-mailed to say just left the neg. I got some comfort from the fact that I got to keep there money, they did not ask for a refund and I wasn't going to voluntarily give them one after they left me a neg.
