  • well I had 27 items listed, 6 ended and only got 1 bid of 99p. Out of this I had allocated 10% to a childrens cancer charity so not much profit there.

Have 21 items left and 3 have bids on, 2 at 99p and 1 of £3.50 Trying to sell my mums gorgeous white day bed and brand new mattress, i've put a reserve on it and a starting bid of 99p. Have had loads of people asking for a buy it now price but have asked them to just make an offer, only a couple got back to me but price was too low. Do have a lady coming this evening to have a look at it though so fingers crossed. It has 25 watchers but not 1 bid yet lol

Miss empty piggy I completely agree with you - I lost my ebay mojo before Christmas a bit as I was listing 10-15 items to finish at the same time and I ended up spending ages packaging things up, I failed miserably at the weekend with ebaying but I will try again this weekend and I'm going to do 5 things a week to try and do things gradually and not get into a muddle again, things I can start at 99p, and then save other bits up for free listing weekends!

I really want to get off zero for this year!

  • All but one of my 10 items listed have at least one watcher, my mobile has 17 watchers but only one bid at the mo :(, I'm hoping that will go up nearer the end of the auction. I also have another item with bids up to £31 but nowhere near my reserve on that. I'll be searching the house for more stuff to list this week. Hubby better watch out, I might list him!:rotfl: This e-bay lark is addictive.

I have sold about 7 items to someone in Germany, was just wondering if anyone else has sold a lot of items to someone abroad before and what you posted it. Normally I just do Airmail but wondered about International Signed for, is it worth it though if they only track it until it leaves the country?

Airsure might be a better option for you TMD

    Congrats skylight!! :D

What kind of items are you selling? I must be going for the wrong ones because I listed about 30 now and only about 4 watchers and one £0.99 bid. I put everything at £0.99 though and p&p between £1.50 and £1.99 depending of size and weight. I have mainly clothes, a few accesories and ink cartidges (these ones I put today). I have seen empty (but refilable) ink cartridges are selling at around £2 each and I had 5 laying around in drawers. I have DVDs I know I will not watch again but I did a search and people are not bidding on them either :( A few years ago I sold a broken Xbox and I got £30 for it, obviously someone knew how to repair it!

  • Well done skylight! You must be over the moon.
It's amazing how much stuff we amass, and what it can be worth...

Out of my items listed 4/39 are selling, total bids £8.65. I sold another item last night to a German buyer, made about £15 after p&p :j I have a 6 items ending tonight but none with bids. I live in hope of some last minutes ones though!

Well, one item was a musical instrument so a bit of an unfair advantage! Some things have sold for 99p (which is still 15p in selling/paypal fees.....). I have also have some language bits on there; although one didn't sell so may do that again next week at a lower price.

I am now out of collectibles, but I may sell some of the DS games (card only) as there are lots the kids are not interested in anymore.

    Hi all

I listed lots of stuff last year on Ebay and then Ebay stopped me listing unless I registered as a business seller rather than a personal one, which I did.

Business sellers don't have those lovely free listing days and I seem to spend all my earnings on listing fees so not really getting anywhere!

Any ideas? Would I be better opening a shop (I sell womens clothing - some new, some secondhand) or would that incur even more charges? I think there's a monthly charge but I'm not sure ~ maybe someone on here would be able to tell me.

Thanks in advance for your help
