Well that's the last of my listings ended...sold 25 items over the last three days, profit (after fees & rough calculations of postage) of £95. Quite happy cos of a lot of it was just stuff gathering dust round the house!0

Hi all,
Your tales of ebay success is such a great motivator!!! - i've sold stuff on ebay on and off for years but now i have soooooooooooooooooo much stuff i just have to get rid of (moving in a couple of months ), my attic is scarily full, not to mention the shed of dread and the cupboard of doom under the stairs (small house and kinda disorganised = lots of stuff shoved behind closed doors) - mainly kids stuff (clothes/toys/baby stuff) plus quite a fair bit of house stuff.
I was hoping i might tap in on your knowledge as to how many days i should list for the best success rate?? - should it be 7 days starting on a Saturday evening as i tend to do now or is there a better option???
xx

Just wrapped up 14 parcels (Business), did another 4 last night, so will take them all to the PO when OH gets in from work, hopefully it won't be too busy, think I might have to queue a couple of times.Sealed Pot Challenge #0160

^good luck with the queueing, TMD. That is the worst part... thankfully we have the self-serve machines, but I still have to queue for certificates of posting.
misskaytee - why did you have to give a refund? I always put a disclaimer at the bottom of my listing that all sales are final & have never had a problem. The only exception would be if an item was damaged, then I would refund.
I've listed 3 more items - 2 ebay, 1 amazon. Just wii games, but hopefully they'll sell as they're the cheapest listed.
My clear profit this month so far is £54.83. Hopefully will make £150 by the end of the month0 -
I sold another 4 bits last night to add to the 4 the night before. I've relisted the unsold bits. I think the totals are about £20 but thats more than I had at the start of the week.
Am probably going to lump the books together in author/genre etc at a £4 for 5.... Worth a try.

I must say you have all inspired me. I used to sell on Ebay but got sick last year as people were just taking the mick. After reading these posts I may just start again. Dr who seems to be very popular - been trying to get some figures for my son and they are astronomical so if you have any of them SELL THEM NOW! I must tell you my best buy was the 2 coats I bought from TKMaxx at 4 quid each - both Ralph Lauren and both for toddlers. I sold 1 for 64 quid and the other for 42. (both abroad) My first sale was alan titchmarsh - how to be a gardener (video, 1 half opened) which I sold for 15 quid. However my funniest sale was my husbands second hand Camper shoes which I sold for 26 pounds: I was jumping for joy and then searched the house in horror as I couldn't find them. I phoned my husband and discovered he was at the pub and so had been wearing them whilst people were bidding on them - talk about selling the shirt of someone's back eh? Good luck everybody - people will by the oddest things - old photos, old computer games, even old y-fronts and perfume with only a few squirts out. I am away to renew my passion!Smile though your bank is breaking:)0

Well I've now sold all 14 items on EBay, took a fair amount of time to sort out photos, listings, postage/packaging though but happy I've done it.
I've made over £200 from things I haven't used in years!

Empty perfume bottles, especially re-fillable ones like Angel, sell quite well.
I've got a couple of Harajuku Lovers which look like cute anime characters and they go for a few quid each.
