Hi Folks!!!
Been reading this little thread for a few days now and decided to make it public... I'm joining in!!!
One other thing..... I'm a man!!! (the second one - thought I'd be the first!!!)
I've got 5 things listed so far and am aiming, like many others, to make £1000.
One question though - where do people get their packaging from? Do they just buy posting bags/paper/bubble wrap and then incorporate the costs of buying these into the postage costs? or do people know of any very cheap places to get these things?!
My wife and I are aiming to pay off our debt (around 5k) this year before we start a family in early 2012!! This was a very good incentive to my wife as she's desperate for a little one!! She'll kill me for saying that - funny though!!!0 -

Welcome OshKosh and family
I buy brown paper etc when I need it, but generally I use any stuff that I can get from reception at work (if you have one) I have asked them to save any paper they get and I just either cut off the label or label over it by writing the name address etc on a piece of plain paper and taping it over the old one. I also pick up any spare boxes and other packaging (e.g. bubble wrap or polystyrene etc)that I might find hanging around. I also tend to package using old scrunched up wrapping paper, and scrunched up carrier bags in boxes to cushion items, to save buying extra packaging.
I love the idea of recycling but its also money saving too. Hope this helps.
P.S. I have also cut up brown paper bags I get from shops and use them like paper on a roll.0 -

Hi guys and girls!
Thought I would join in, I love Ebaying but didn't have the time in the last half of 2010 to get really stuck in.
So, 2011 here I am and I am going to go for £1000 this year - just sat and uploaded 26 items tonight, thankfully I had a glass (or two) or wine to get me through it! Got three bids already and a few watchers so fingers crossed I'm well on my way to my target.
We are moving house at the beginning of February so really need to get rid of a lot of stuff we have collected over the last few years. Got loads of books but don't think they do that well on Ebay?? (Maybe someone can help me with that?) Will maybe charity shop them.
Good luck everyone and happy Ebaying! :j0 -
To those who were asking about packaging - I buy my plastic bag type things (hope that makes sense!) in bulk from Ebay0
