    Would love to join please!

    Mrscmr you are an inspiration!

Have sorted out loads of Cross stitch stuff and listed that tonight, a remote control (well it'll only go in the bin!) and a big picture of Freddie Mercury. Have asked for pick up only on the pic as worried about posting it with all the glass....

OH going in the loft tomorrow and I'll ask him to bring a few bags of stuff down so I can sort and either list, bin or charidee shop :D

I made about £200 on eBay last year, not a lot, but did do most of the Christmas shopping :D

Do books go best in lots? I have a single bed which underneath is bursting with paperbacks. Have tried Greenmetropolis but no avail and am loath to give them away on Amazon for 1p each.... I wondered whether to lump them together in authors...

    Evening all

Just having a mooch and found this thread and have spent the last half hour looking through it.

Its just the inspiration I need. I am not a DFW, but I am aiming for a debt.. We have outgrown our house. 3 girls and Dh and I in a 2 bed house just does not work any more so we are desperate to buy and 2011 is the year to do it.

My house is full of clutter which I need to shift so after I finish my accounts (s/employed) then I am going to get cracking and flog off my quality goods ;)

    I will be back :D

If books are being sold on Amazon for 1p each then you may as well take them to the charity shop as they are worthless.

You can only have £2.75 maximum for postage on Ebay regardless of the book weight or number of them so lumping them all together means a silly postage cost to you that you cannot pass on.

    A carboot perhaps??

    Hi

I have 3 girls too and we only have a two bedroom house, unfortunately we can't afford to move, my girls are 6, 5 and 2 and we have bunk beds and a single bed in their room, would be nice to have a bigger house.

I am also self employed, still need to do my tax return for 09/10 but all my spreadsheets for that year are on our old computer which kept switching itself off so need to try later to see if I can copy them onto a disk and print them off and get it done, don't want a £100 fine.

Dont want to turn this into a 2-bed house thread, but I have 4 girls and a boy in a 2-bed (moving soon!!). Its tight but we put a false wall in the larger of the two rooms to create a private but very small space for the older one. Not ideal but a possibility?
  • Can I join please?

I've sold a couple of items in the last week & will add the total to my signature, I find checking bids very addictive!

Gumtree is also quite popular for selling things and free aswell. No need to pay eBay and Paypal all of their fees.

I generally sell things on Gumtree first before resorting to eBay if it doesn't sell.

  • Have now listed 25 items and have sold 2, one item has 99p bid and 22 watchers! I think it is a case of me being impatient though as there is still a week to go!!

Really wanting to leave work and start my own business but with current debts this is not really a possibility. Did consider selling my house, buying a smaller one and using the money to pay off debts and starting working for myself. I would love to be able to take my children to school and be at home when they finish instead of spending £500.00/month on childminders. I really need to look into the figures as am 40 this year and can feel a mid life crisis coming on!!! I have been planning to work for myself for a LONG time and have dabbled with selling to people but need to get the formalities sorted out first and just bite the bullet and go for it. I can't do it and work at the same time, as a single mum it's difficult but I do like a challenge. Anyway, the point was that I need to pay off the debts to feel a little bit more secure. Sorry for the negative ramble, normal service will be resumed tomorow. Good luck with the ebay sales everyone. x
