Hi Everyone
Can't remember if I have signed up to this thread. I HAVE signed up to the '£10 a day' challenge and I am hoping to do it mostly with ebay for January.
I had great success selling my son's lego last year. What had been a £20 Star Wars lego boxed set went for £143 I think. We had kept box and instructions. My son was given £100 of that for new clothes. To have kept 500+ pieces of lego in tact for over 5 years deserved a reward.
So good luck everyone!

Has anybody tried selling empty Lego boxes? I have lots but they are a bit battered. Any thoughts?
P.S. Am about to delve into an enormous pile of clothes to list but am dreading it as they need to be ironed
Have only touched one corner and have 60 items ready for eBay. Just have to work out postage. It has truly terrified me how much stuff there is in this house. Can't wait until it is cleared

I've been reading this thread and am totally inspired! Am trying to get the money together to do the sun holiday without having to dip into the bank.
I have listed bits and bobs on ebay and decided to list brand new books I have on amazon. Well I sold one today for 1.50 plus postage which is great, BUT Amazon have taken £1.61 from the sale. Can Amazon take more than the actual sale of the item? Time I've packaged it and used petrol to get to the post office and paid for the postage I've probably lost out.Seems a bit pointless really. I've listed quite a few hardbacks on there and am thinking I'd be better off taking them off there if it's going to make me lose out.
Does this seem right to you? Sorry am new to all this malarky.
Thanks in advance
Although they take money off the sale, they charge the buyer for postage for you. The actual postage cost is usually lower than the amount they charge the buyer, so you shouldnt lose out too much on ordinary paperbacks.
When you list on Amazon, it tells you how much you will recieve from the sale before you actually list it.Debt at 1/1/11 £7,049.75, now £6,682.12 at 9/3/110 -
