I don't mind a few toys downstairs or lying around that would take all of 5 or 10 minutes to tidy up rather than someone ringing to say they are coming round and having to spend an hour tidying up and finding cupboards to shove stuff in so it was tidy, still makes sense for the 3 of them to have the bigger room than me and OH who only go in there at night time, they play in our room sometimes anyway as it's much bigger. Tonight I had to fight my way into their room to put them to bed with all the stuff they had in there and have had to bring most of it downstairs and I don't want it around, I don't want to see it in the evening, when I was a kid we kept our toys in our rooms we never had any in the living room. I can just shut the door on the mess in the bedrooms if anyone comes round.

Dont want to turn this into a 2-bed house thread, but I have 4 girls and a boy in a 2-bed (moving soon!!). Its tight but we put a false wall in the larger of the two rooms to create a private but very small space for the older one. Not ideal but a possibility?
I dream of the day that I live in a smaller house. I have 3 children and a 4 bed and they all insist on sleeping in the same room...actually the same bed at the moment :rotfl:so a 2 bed would be idealMortgage start September 2015 £90000 MFiT #060 -
Hello
I've been reading this thread and am totally inspired! Am trying to get the money together to do the sun holiday without having to dip into the bank.
I have listed bits and bobs on ebay and decided to list brand new books I have on amazon. Well I sold one today for 1.50 plus postage which is great, BUT Amazon have taken £1.61 from the sale. Can Amazon take more than the actual sale of the item? Time I've packaged it and used petrol to get to the post office and paid for the postage I've probably lost out.Seems a bit pointless really. I've listed quite a few hardbacks on there and am thinking I'd be better off taking them off there if it's going to make me lose out.
Does this seem right to you? Sorry am new to all this malarky.

Do books go best in lots? I have a single bed which underneath is bursting with paperbacks. Have tried Greenmetropolis but no avail and am loath to give them away on Amazon for 1p each.... I wondered whether to lump them together in authors...
You can still make a bit selling books on Amazon for a penny, as they charge the buyer about 2.75 for postage. Given that it only costs about 80p to post a paperback second class, you are left with more than 1p off the sale.Debt at 1/1/11 £7,049.75, now £6,682.12 at 9/3/110 -
Hey ebayers
I'm a very sparodic and lazy ebayer - hate taking photos and going through the rigmarole but love it when people are watching my stuff!
Am decluttering my 3 bed junk filled house and need to make money, so will be doing my best to ebay in 2011. My front room still has loads in it that could be sold, have loads of stuff in the loft from the last 10 years or so - and that is after giving loads to charity!
Anything I get for what I sell will be a bonus, as its all just sitting here anyway! Will do my best to save anymoney I do make on Ebay and Quidco by transferring it into a separate bank account - ready to pay off a credit card when 0% runs out....
here some of the stuff I have to list...- internet phone
- chidrens clothes
- reusable nappies - never been used!!
- baby monitors
- bed sheets
- ladies clothes
- old broken laptop
- ladies boots
- new satin bed sheets
- jack la lene juicer
Will start my listings over the next week0 -
been trying to get info all night on the next free listing day - gutted to see I missed one at the start of December! Got a wii console and wii fit game + board to sell - would rather wait for a free listing day! hurry up lolLife is what you make it.0

That's the first one sold! For a massive £3. It was a book on a BIN for £5 and I accepted an offer of £3 (when you compare to Amazon etc, its not a bad price). Will add that to my SIG.0
