My complaining buyer, who wanted a refund without returning a coat she paid 99p for, has left good feedback, but stated within that the coat is not real leather. I say it was.
I'm tempted to leave a response to that effect, but her feedback is private. Probably for that reason.DEBT FREE! Sep '08/£9,800 in Oct '06 :beer:0 -
^What a PITA, Princess Jane.
I've just opened 3x unpaid item cases from the last free listing weekend. Bit annoyed but hey-ho, I kind of expect some non-paying bidders nowadays.
I have 6x items with bids so far. And 50-something without... not many watchers either... hopefully things pick up at the weekend.0 -
Aww, I've used up my 100 99p listings :T
My spreadsheet suggests my net balance is currently £338.66, waiting for 5 or so to pay and got a pile ending in 6 days. Listed 10 tonight.0 -
I have been looking around my house for stuff to sell and would love to know what is the most surprising/strangest item people have sold/bought on ebay ..... x0

I had the EXACT same issue - she claimed goods were fake (which they weren't) demanded a refund and that I pay return p&P, gave horrible negative feedback and then I find out that you can not leave neutral or negative feedback for a buyer (even this woman was borderline abusive) and I can't even leave a comment on her feedback profile because it is private.
What is also annoying is that she was a business buyer, buying off a private seller - and eBayer really stacks its protection in favour of buyers (which I agree with) whilst lumping private selers and businesses together.

Hmm I'm trying to think of the name of something before I list it on ebay. It's set of bears (groom, bride, mother, father, pageboy, bridesmaid, sailor boy and a little girl with a honey pot [which I think you had to get her out of a bar of soap]). They were collected from magazines - I'm 21 so probably when I was 6 or 7. I can't remember what they're called but if anyone has an idea, I'd really appreciate any suggestions!
Also, I have a bundle of toy plastic animals (cats, dogs, kittens, horses). Do you think it would be best to list them all together as one bundle or as individuals? Same with barbies, all together or separate lots?0 -

TBH I always offer to cover return postage, as I usually find only people with a genuine gripe about an item will post it back.
Or if they say an item is broken, I ask for pix.
I think you can ask for feedback to be removed if it is abusive.
It always seems to be over the smallest things as well. I've sold my car through eBay before with no probs, but then one bloke messaged me to say he had considered suicide because the £1.25 lightswitch he bought from me hadn't arrived.DEBT FREE! Sep '08/£9,800 in Oct '06 :beer:0 -
God, I sounded so ranty in my above post. Glad to say its out of my system. I have no problems with returns actually, its just when people are rude about it and boy was this one RUDE.
Anyway, managed to use the 100 free listing this month too, so am busy stockpiling stuff for the 1st June. As much as I have doing the listing part, I do love it when the bid column turns green!
The strangest things sell well. We've currently got an old single duvet cover and pillow case with a computer gaming character on it going for [STRIKE]£10.50[/STRIKE] £21!! with 4 days to go. My husband thinks his mother picked it up in a car boot years ago for 50p or something... bonza!- Mortgage over-payments to date: = £16,746

It gets you that way sometimes. I've responded to the unpleasant feedback with: "Glad you are happy now and no longer want a refund without return for the LEATHER jacket."
And blocked her from bidding.
Just listed some Royal Wedding/Engagement newspapers on eBay.com to see if our American cousins snap them up.
A programme went for £120-odd a few weeks ago.
Other than that, I have nowt left to sell..DEBT FREE! Sep '08/£9,800 in Oct '06 :beer:0 -
