    Hi,

slipper - if you're worried you can cancel bids. If you go to 'my selling' and find the item, click on the dropdown menu where it says 'more actions' and you can end the item (and cancel and current bids). Hope that helps.

Just wondering if anyone can help... I have a buyer from Norway asking how much it would be to send a bottle of sunscreen spray via airmail. I know there are restrictions on what you can & can't send... does anyone know if sunscreen is ok to send or not? I think the bottle is 200ml.
I can't seem to find the page on the Rmail site.

    Thanks x

I don't know if it's possible, but should I cancel the auctions on the 4 I've got bids on and repost them so to be sure that the buyers know what they are getting?

Are you not able to contact the buyers individually and just let them know you've updated the listing and make them aware that there is only 1 sheet available? They may be quite happy to leave their bids there, or they will ask you to cancel their bid. I'm not sure if it's possible to send messages to bidders the same as you can with buyers, but it's probably worth a look...

Thanks Katie and CompletelyLost. I decided to cancel the auctions because I just didn't want to face any possible issues with my rating and right now I'm swamped with work so took the path of least resistance. I'm sure I'll sell eventually and it'll be cheap (even if not free) to repost given that I can do them all in one posting as they are identical.

    Thanks again!

All my ebay stuff is stored under the dining room table (a room which no one uses except my Mum to dry her washing on clothes horses) and an argument occured between me and my Dad at the start of the week and towards the end of the argument he told me I've got two weeks to get rid of my ebay stuff because he's sick of seeing it (even though its hidden under the table in boxes, very neatly).

So, today, I'm off out to move my ebay stuff into storage. Woop de doop. So I think my plan is to list things in batches of 25 on a Tuesday for 10 days and then go pick them up on the following Friday. I'm going to have to take boxes and a check list so that I know exactly where everything is, for ease of finding. Only problem I can see running into is if people ask questions about the items, but if I'm specific enough with the descriptions, it should be okay, hopefully. I'm off to see if I can find a padlock in the attic now. Hope everyone has a productive day.

Hey Fredula - sorry that you got into an argument with your dad and now have to find another place to store your ebay items. Hopefully, your storage space doesn't cost you anything!:) Sounds like you've got all the other things covered so best of luck in selling them all off quickly :)

might be an incentive to list and sell them if the storage is costing you. we moved sown south a couple of years ago and had to put everything into storage. it was the best clear out i've ever had. you look at things differently when you know it's going to cost you to keep it

  • Argh, I'm sick of rude, badly written questions about items and whether I'll change the listing to BIN.

Nope, the storage doesn't cost me because I'm using my Nan's garage. :) I'm so happy. I've been there all day and I've made it look all lovely and tidy (swept it out and everything) even put myself a little cupboard of drawers in there with space to store my wrapping paper. Her neighbour even brought me a glass of coke! And before I left my house I went in the attic and got down all the jiffy bags/bubble wrap my Dad's been saving up since I don't know how long, and so I've got endless amounts of free packaging now :D Woop de doop! Stupidly though, I brought back all the items I've sold, and now I have no wrapping paper. But nevermind, I'll go down my Nan's when the sales are final and I can wrap them there aswell as anything else which might sell between now and then.

Hope everyone had a nice day :)

I can't believe how well my auctions are going this week - 17 items with bidders, 30 without... but tbh the higher priced items that I most wanted to sell, are actually selling :j

Still 4+ hours to go on many of them so there's still a chance of last minute bidders. But even if I don't get anymore bids, I'll be happy with the sales I've got! :D

I'm not sure what's more exciting - the prospect of extra money this month, or the fact that I'm going to have so much more cupboard space.

Hi all, I just wanted to say I love this thread. I'm a recent onvert to fleabay and have had a lovely two months shifting all my old junk that I don't need / want anymore. Is there no limit to the things people are willing to buy? My total sales for April and May stand at £208 so far, which works out at just under a tenner per item on average. The best and worst thing is I still have LOADS to get rid of and am being totally ruthless in my soring out.

Keep up the good work everyone1
