I'm waiting for 20 items to be paid for... hope they pay early in the week so I don't have to do multiple P.O. trips!

I hope they don't make us wait as long as last time for another free listing weekend.
  • Hi, didn't visit this thread in awhile! :)
I had an aim of 100£ this year on ebay and... I have sold 143.47£ worth of stuff already! :T

I don't have much left to sell, but I think another wardrobe clean out may be coming, as well as another review of all boxes I never even move or look inside, but still 'need :D And then maybe I can make 200£ total :)
Getting rid of all stuff... And I think next profits will go towards my hobby :j

    Hi ...
 I would like to join in this challenge but will maybe wait until start of next year. I have loads of stuff to sell but not much packaging .. I would appreciate any advice as to where i could get cheap packaging ie boxes (our local shoe shops give all their empty boxes to a wonderful lady who fills them for charity...usually about 600 a year!!!) ... also advice on how to cost up postage and packaging to avoid visits to the local post office (we live in the middle of nowhere) ... thanks (in advance) xo

ps just out of interest ... whats the most surprising/strangest thing anyone has sold on ebay

RE: packaging, if you buy a lot of stuff online, keep the old packaging and reuse it. Also in supermarkets they often have bubble wrap lying around - if you ask for it, they're more than happy to let you take it. I also save strong carrier bags, turn them inside out, and use them as mailing bags. Failing that, ebay are the cheapest for new packaging material.

I get a rough weight of the item by weighing it on my kitchen scales, and then use royal mail's site to estimate postage. 9 times out of 10 I'm right. Hope that helps.

A cheque has finally came through from my Royal mail claim, even though it was a couple of £s short, I'm not going to complain as I was starting to doubt getting anything back at all (their fault, not mine!)

My total from this free listing weekend is - £112.07
Still waiting for 7x people to pay :(

Thanks - I've been really slack on ebay for the last 6 weeks or so and done nothing - oops.

I'll get some things on this weekend I think as I've got time. I'll try and find 10 things to go on, that's usually enough for me to package up.
