Right. I listed those gold sovereigns I have..... not sure now; once I have paid fees etc. Actually more worried about scammers etc. Never mind; I always check out a buyer anyway (feedback and check their details against 192.com) so I am covered as good as I can be. Unless I get an email from someone claiming they are not real gold. But I do have my purchase receipt somewhere so I should be covered????? I'm worrying needlessly now!!

Theres an article on here somewhere about the best places to sell gold, have you seen it?
Im not sure i would sell on ebay for the reasons you have mention, but then im a natural worrier too!

You know Misskaytee - You are right. I have 20g of gold so that plus the 2 coins makes £500 in total from Hatton Garden Metals. A little less than the Ebay coins BUT once I factor in the sales/paypal fees compared to the postage to Hatton then it balances out I guess. And Hatton are reputable.

Think I will cancel those listings and get down the post office on Tuesday AM instead.

here's an interesting thread https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/343625 that gives you extra ideas on what else you might have around the house that would sell on ebay!

Maplin have a foldable ebay photo studio (ref no N60GU) but its £30 so not really worth it unless you need top quality snaps and you have a large number of things to sell

It would be interesting to know what your routine is Mrs, Do all your items end on the same day or do you vary the end dates? I'd dread packaging and labelling 65 in one go, how do you work it?

Ive just had a look, i think if you wanted to you could create a studio area/corner for very little cash...Might get it a go if i can find a spare corner!

  • Right, so here goes. Listed 23 items today of all sorts (some I'll be surprised to get 99p for, others I'll be GUTTED if they go for only 99p!). More ready for tomorrow.

It's quite fun, this game. But I must curb my OCD "press refresh to see if there are any watchers/bidders" thing.

i dont really stagger it... i usually put on the cheep 99p stuff on most days and then the big money items on free listing days... im just warming up to a mega listing session as need to give the cashflow a little boost! luckily i have a great relationship with my post office ladies so post office time is minimal. i have a selection of mailing bags ready for packaging, a large roll of bubble wrap and plenty of labels for printing and thats it! :)
