Thought I'd repost this here for those who don't always venture onto the grabbit board.

'Femmecup half price (one for the girls!)
Incase anyone is interested, today only Femmecup have everything half price!
    http://www.femmecup.com/paypal/paypal.html'
Thanks to LILBERT for the original grabbit post

Its a good opportunity to try out menstrual cups without worrying about wasting loads of money if you don't like. They really are brilliant. My cramps disappeared overnight when I made the switch :T
  • Back again! Just to say I used the mooncup last week and thought it was fine - easy to get in, could totally forget it was there.. However, when I came to take it out again I did find it quite difficult and was starting to panic that either my boyfriend would have to help or we'd have to go to A and E! Eventually I managed to do it but it did put me off a bit. I'll try again next month though having spent almost £20 on it!
  • When you say you totally forgot it was there- you didn't leave it in all period, did you?

Once you get the hang of it's refreshingly simple- you'll be emptying it at least twice a day so practise will make perfect. Stick with it. :)
They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.

Had mine for 5 years, I feel very pleased that I don't have to buy tampons any more and add to the mountains of used sanitary products in the landfills!
What do you think about using them when flying? I was worried that I would be selected for a body scan when I had to travel recently (tho I would try to opt out if possible) and they would think I was smuggling something down there??

I've used mine on 2 flights before and I didn't even think about that! I'll be paranoid in future now :| They would be visible on a scan, but like tampons and sanitary pads I would hope that it would not cause concern...

Sorry, wouldn't want you to be paranoid! I have a tendency to worry about things most normal people wouldn't even think about!

I sing "mooncup.com" to the tune of "moonpig.com" to myself first day of each period....wish I'd known about them 15 years ago when I started!
I don't have any kids but if I did I would encourage my daughter to use them.
Next flight I go on if I have my period I will use my mooncup and to hell if I get questioned!! (Although I may have second thoughts depending on which country I'm flying from)
  • Building with lego - no I didn't leave it in all period lol! Just meant that I could forget about it during the day I used it!

First day today and it is amazing!

Really comfortable and so far is working fine. The only issue I can see with it is the noise! Now maybe I am doing something very very wrong, but there is a bit of a loud suction noise on removal!!

I am just worried that if I am emptying in a public toilet people are really going to wonder what the hell I am doing in that cubical!!
