Mooncup Question...TMI.

Options
So...I finally bought a mooncup. Getting it in was fine, it was the getting it out I struggled with, did you experience this the first few times you used it? I was so worried lol. Any hints/tips?

  • Just grab the cup, squeeze it in a wee bit for better grip and pull. It can't travel too far so you're not going to lose it :p

Make sure you break the seal (slide a finger up the side) before pulling it out, lot less painful, learnt the hard way :rotfl:

Or is it a different "getting it out" problem? Steels herself for TMI..

i just couldn't "unclip" it LOL. Oh this is far TMI. I think I just need more practice and kegel exercises at the same time to try and get a better grip, IDK

OH MY GOD. Just found a site which sells USED Mooncups?! I'm all for recycling but !!!!!!. EW

Good luck! I can't imagine what you mean (perhaps I don't want to LOL) but I'm sure someone else will. And from what I can gather most people who have an issue at the beginning grow to love it. There's a thread about here somewhere with loads of info...

    Edit: here it is https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/196357

With you on the used mooncups!!!!

Bear down ,as if having a poo, don't try and pull out but rotate and pinch cup together to break seal. Try to pinch quite high up bearing down will help you get a grip. Don't pull on the stem.

  • Well after reading about these on here, I've finally bought one from the internet (for about £18 delivered). Does anyone have any tips for a first time user of the mooncup? Thanks in advance.
