If you think he has potential, then yes you definitely should.

Just think of Demi Moore & Ashton (yummmy) Kutcher - 8 years & still happy :)

Of course I messaged him, I have no self control.

Lula - I may be ten years younger than Demi but she looks amazing, I saw her in that film with David Duchovny recently - wow!

I'm also messaging some guy who does patissierie in a hotel!! Who is French! oh la la!

I have to say this internet dating is hilarious and the one advantage of POF is that there are a lot of people on there.....I can't believe how many messages I've been getting (most of them saying hi, how are you or something equally non specific) .....and I've also learnt that I'm a complete grammar b**ch.

Onto the more dull aspects of today, my flat is a mess and I really need to tidy up. I'm going to my friends tonight and his birthday was a couple of days ago and need to make him a present. I think I'm going to do a foodie type thing so that cherry fudge recipe may have to come out again.
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

I used to have 'no chavs', or something similar, written on my profile for that very reason :rotfl::rotfl:

Well I had a nice weekend but as usual didn't really move any further forward in terms of getting my flat more organised or even getting things like washing done or meal planning!!!

I went to see my friend last night, I made some oatcakes and onion marmalade and bought some cheese to make a kind of foodie cheeselovers gift, which he loved thankfully!

I also bought some food for dinner and that was really nice, a chilled evening of gossip, wine and music!

Then today we cruised the shops I don't have near me - TJ Hughes, Wilkinsons and Primark!! classy!

Then we went to a pub for a carvery dinner - so yummy, huge roast!

And for a bonus we saw Shane Ritchie at the next table!!! :D

As soon as my friend spotted him he couldn't stop staring!!! :rotfl:

Been doing some more fishing and I shall report back!

Well not much money stuff to report.

I got a free energy monitor thing in the post which is great but I thought it was my potato / seed thing that I ordered off Thomson & Morgan ages ago but hasn't turned up yet. Suppose I shall have to sort that out (is there a yawning / bored icon?? there should be!)

I also got my rent / service charge increase in the post. However it has only gone up £4.63 so that is surprisingly ok! :j:beer:

On more exciting news, went out on a date with Mr 24. It was a very short date but only because he had something else to go to. It went very well though ;) and we should be meeting next week ;):D

I have a date tomorrow with Mr Out of Town - he is more my age and works in same sector so theory is we should have stuff in common. Not sure about his messages so far though, not that exciting. However maybe in person he is more interesting.

I'm not overly excited by PoF though, too many men have messaged me and then when I've messaged back been really 'whatever' in their replies!

    Too much timewasting going on!!!

Oops, didn't realise I'd not updated this in a while.

So internet dating news, met the guy who works in similar sector, very nice but not really any spark although pondering if should try again with second date. Mr 24 blew me out for second date but probably just as well. On bizarre news, 2 other 24 yr olds have contacted me....who knew I had this strange attraction for the younger man!

Another guy has been messaging me and I think we'll go out next week. (a fireman!)

I'm kind of bored of it though, getting plenty of messages but mostly from people who have just messaged saying hi or have a very poor grasp of the English language.

Then the guys I've actually thought looked promising have either not replied to my emails or aren't interested.

I'm feeling like I don't even want to be in a relationship which probably isn't a good frame of mind when on a dating website! This just all seems like too much hard work!

On the money front I thought was doing ok but had a spendy weekend - my sister and her family came to stay which was ace but we did eat out a lot. Then I went out for 2 meals out this week which weren't cheap but I had a great time and caught up with some old friends so worth it.

Then I got a text from my bank on Thursday morning as I was 63p overdrawn :rotfl::eek:

And payday isn't til next Friday....

Luckily that evening I went to a play for free as my friend works in a theatre.

Today I went to an amazing conference called Women of the World at Southbank. Lots of amazing women speaker about all sorts of issues, all linked in with International Womens Day. So inspiring!!

Tomorrow I'm off to an Italian show thing and i managed to get some free tickets. Not quite sure how but I'm on so many mailing lists that occasionally pays off with things like this!

I'm hoping for lots free snacks and wine!

I have some secret exciting news that I'm desperately hoping will be confirmed next week. I don't want to reveal all as I don't want to jinx it as it hasn't been agreed yet so any spare good vibes please send them my way!!
I've got my own flat :j:j

Same as that ^ from me.

    Bursting with curiosity though :o.

Good to hear you've recovered your own brand of 'makeup sparkle' ... I was rather concerned at your sudden feeling of need for a permanent man. Your bit about not being sure of actually wanting one did make me giggle - seeing who's available & what is 'expected' from a girlfriend, certainly made me question what on earth I was doing on a dating site :rotfl:

This will sound dreadful but I keep thinking that even if I do somehow meet Mr. Wonderful, just how wonderful what he be if he had the family (particularly children) from hell, or (shame alert) if he developed an awful & progeressive illness :o. I've been looking after other people since I was 20 & that really is just down to the natural maternal instinct, not because I'm a caring person.

Souks diary title ( & remembering that scene from SATC ) really sums it up for me.

I read of all your fab nights out & that's what I have planned for my future, lots of different things going on, weekends away, nights out & freedom, freedom, freedom from not having to consider anyone else.

    Am I bad :D
