I'm sorry that things are not going as well as they could be.

I know you don't have time to read my diary but I have mentioned my BIL's before, they don't have any learning difficulties at all but have been given money by their father all their lives. Initially I think it was to make up for the fact that their mum left them when she met another man and then as they got older they became aggressive if they were not given what they wanted so their dad gave them money to keep the peace.

They are both now in their forties and were still expecting money on a regular basis, the police were involved at one point also. Their dad now lives with us and is basically poor, he sold his house to move in with us and gave his sons £37,000 each, it took 6 months for them to spend it and now they want more but there is no more.

Realtive nows lives quite a few miles away and used to meet them in town for lunch but recently he has been reluctant to contact them so we are not sure what has happened but may have something to do with youngest son, the most agressive who hinted that he needs money to send his son on a school trip - I think he would be able to go on so much that relative would give in.

If murder was legal I would have done it by now as he especially is the scum of the earth.

What I am trying to say in a long winded way is that no matter how many times you help/bail your kids out they will never learn, learning difficulties or not. If the girls have to survive on beans on toast then so be it, it won't kill them.

Hope you manage to sort things and also DS sorts himself out as he seems to be throwing away a very good education which he will probably regret in time to come.

On better news I will PM you with a possible busines idea

Thanks EE, no I havent read your thread. I am afraid I am behind on all the threads I used to read too!.
The BIL's sound terrible. The thought of me having to bail out the twins for the next 20 years is too scarey to contemplate.

I have got to stand firm from now on.
I think what I will do is go across to see Twins, and DS if I can hold him down somewhere. Tell them the facts, Not that they will listen, but for my own benefit.
Perhaps I will give them an emergency Menu Plan, for cheap and easy meals to keep in thier homes. Like as you say, beans on toast!
But I am not sure that that will work, but will also make me feel better if I have given them written ideas to follow.( I have tried to stear them to the one that Frugaldom has done, but they dont seem to relate to actually making anything from scratch!).

As I will loose my taxcredits for DS if he stops college, I need to be able to still pay my own overheads and it would be good to still be able to enjoy ourselves a little! I know we dont need masses of money to live, but it would be nice not to be continually looking at the bank accounts and wondering if there is enough funds to pay out the DD's etc. etc.

Re business ideas, I will look into the various options, but I also have to be aware that my health is fragile and I mustnt take on too much too soon, and pace myself so that i dont have a relapse!.

I managed to rest but not to sleep for a little bit. So Now I will push myself a little to finish off the saddle bag I was making, and to look into the tissue covers and peg bags, this evening. Then I can possibly work out what to do for the coming week.
I could do with a few Buy it now things, possibly aimed at Mothers? But it is probably a bit too late, as the listings are usually for 7 days. Oh well. We will see what I can achieve.
What ever I make goes into the Paypal account, and then I will use it for our holiday in 2 weeks with Molly and her family. I am excited that we are having a little holiday and so is DGD.
The family will just have to do without me then as Molly siad the phone reception is not good there either! very handy.

  • Yes Mooloo you will have to satisfy your maternal instinct and want to help the twins by doing practical things rather than cash things. Like you say easy/cheap meal ideas laminated and put on kitchen wall for them. List of incoming and outgoings laminated and again put on their wall etc..maybe helping them on their 'pay days' to batch cook a few meals for the freezer..

Payday is Thursday for them. So I will have to sort out what to do on a Thursday. Laminating the lists and putting on the wall is a good idea. (I have done lists before, many, many times of course, but not recently.) We will just have to see what each twin needs to achieve and start from scratch I suppose.

I have done our evening meal. Rather odd one, as I was starting to do Chops, and DGD wanted spaghetti. so we have had spaghetti and peas with our chops.

Its time to do DGD's bath now. She wants to play with upsydaisy and lion king in the bath! what a combination there too!

no, you can't, but you don't seem to have a link in your profile either. You could do that, although you wouldn't be allowed to mention that fact. Forum Rules, for anyone who's confused by what I've just said!

I dont know how to put a link in my profile? I will have to investigate. And read the forum rules. Thanks sue, I would hate to go against the rules after being here for so long. I would be totally lost without my MSE friends and the ability to "talk" things through on here!.
It really is my life line, as I have said before.

From User CP, click on Edit your Details. Purely hypothetically, if your name on Ebay was in one of those fields we could search for it on Ebay, or a link to your Ebay page as your home page would also work.
