Well I achieved 3/4 of what I wanted to do today. DS's washing got out on the line.
The first bag I had cut out, I managed to sew, and for the first time I did a magnetic clasp. Really quite happy with that.
Then I took photographs and put my other bags all on Ebay. Took me a bit longer to do, as didnt have Molly's daughter to help this time, and I had to go to the post office, post some parcels, and buy some batteries for the camera.
Then after I collect DGD I went to see Biggest of Mooloo in her new home. I am happy its small, but lovely. They are already more organised then I am 3 months down the line! But her partner is helpful, unlike my DS who is never here when I want to undo a box!
My back is very sore now, but thats to be expected with sewing, and driving.
Tomorrow I will be going to visit Molly for a change, and will also make the second bag that I didnt manage today.
All in all I am feeling quite happy about my day. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Well I managed to get some sewing done as I watched Waking the Dead last night. But I was not able to finish the bag I was making, as by then I was quite slow.
I do feel proud of myself for sorting out the fabric stash and getting the second bag started though. I did have to push myself slightly. It would have been so easy to have just sat infront of the tv with my heat pad and relax.
I went to bed with two heatpads, one under my neck, and one in the small of my back!.
I still had a disturbed night, but not quite as bad as the night before. However I didnt want to get up at 6.45 when DGD woke me. However I did.
Another trip to the post office today, to send the bag from yesterday. The lady was happy with the pictures I sent, and paid by Paypal immediately. So I think the post office is going to get used to me!. Hopefully this time I will remember to put the address on the parcel first! I forgot on one of them yesterday and had to bring it back home to re do it!.
I think that I will need to do my todo lists, - goals- then cut them down by half! as I dont seem to be able to achieve everything anymore.
Oh well.
Going to arrange to see Molly today somewhere along the line. Also have to collect Twin1 at some stage. DGD isnt going to dancing anymore as she is always too tired after nursery.!
Talking of Nursery its time I was getting on and making her pack up for today. She is at nursery until 3pm.
I do feel tired, but at least I feel much more upbeat about things then I have done in quite a while.
(If very stiff today!). Onwards and upwards I hope! When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Evening all ready!.
I managed to finish the bag I started last night. Wanted to upload pictures but my computer keeps freezing everytime I go on Photobucket to upload it! So frustrating.
I went to visit Molly and we had a good natter until I had to go and collect twin1. Then twin1 and I went to the post office to send off my two bags.
Afterwards we had some lunch, and then I went for a long soak in the bath and twin1 went to the nursery to collect DGD for me. She has then occupied her, while I have been sewing. This time it was experimenting in bags to hold our folding walking sticks. They are not bad, but as I made the first I was working blind, but improved on the second, and would adapt a little more for any future ones. May make one for my Mum for Mothers day, as she has also got a folding stick. The plastic bags they come in tear quite easily.
Its bath time at the moment for DGD.
We are looking forward to our holiday. Molly and I are going to go away for a few days together in April, taking DGD and Molly's daughter who helps me on a Wednesday. I cannot wait to get away. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

You are soooo clever Mooloo:j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0 -
Love the folding stick bag! How about a little handle on it so it can be hung up. I don't know about you, but I really struggle if something is flat on the floor. x0

Great idea, a little wrist strap maybe? Possible on a popper so it could be attached to a handbag strap or something?
eta Velcro might be better for those less dexterous!:j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0 -
Was trying to do multi quote stuff, but dont seem to be able to manage it.
MatyMoo, thanks for the vote of confidence. This is the bag for your sister? I think it was. (hope she doesnt read this thread!)
Minimoneysaver, I agree a handle will be a good idea. I will incorporate that in the next generation!.
I only learnt how to do the magnetic clasps yesterday!.
I have some swivel clips, (small keyring things), that I am looking at to put on some of the bags etc. So maybe that will help.
As you say MatyMoo, velcro is also an option for those who are less dextorous!.
I did make a brighter one, but the picture didnt copy for some reason. Its in Cath Kidston flowers fabric, for Molly. I will use the spotty one for now. Then we will see about making others depending on what fabrics I have of course.!
Someone has suggested I get a Folksy shop going? Perhaps I will after our little break next month. But I will need to investigate it. Meanwhile I will just play at sewing and sell the odd thing to start to cover the expense of buying the accessories etc and the remenants that I have been getting on ebay! When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Your bag looks really nice Mooloo - hope you can do well making them.0

Thanks.:T
As long as I cover the cost of the accessories I am starting to buy, and then have some Pocket Money to spend in the charity shops! My favourite haunts, when I get the chance!. I will be happy then.:D
If things move on further, I have thought about the End results, but do not want to go too mad. I dont want the body to get worse!
Finding a happy medium. At the moment I am enjoying creating, and I have masses of fabrics and things to do with them. So While I can, I will.:D:j
This morning will be too interupted to do much creating. I have to take DGD to Nursery, her Mum back to Towcester, and collect a photograph from my Mum, Collect DGD at 10.30 to take her for her injections, and then I can slow down for the rest of the day.
My aim is to start on the Moses basket cover for Biggest Of Mooloo's baby.! We are going to use the lilac gingham with small yellow flowers embroidered on it!.Then I am to make a Patchwork quilt for the first time. Just a small one to start with;)
We will see whats going on from there.
Onwards and upwards. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
