Unlikely now, that stage has passed. At a contested hearing a court may rule against adoption but they very rarely go against the expert pyschology report, particurlary if the guardian is in agreement.

    This looks useful Mooloo http://www.afteradoption.org.uk/page.asp?section=0001000100010003
Manchester based but may have national info.

Thanks Gizmo, I will take a look this evening.
    Time to get going.

  • Cannot even begin to contemplate how you must be feeling today Mooloo. Hope you and the boys enjoy your precious time together and you can manage to keep yourself 'together' for all yours and the familys sake. You are all in my thoughts. ((hugs))xx

Nothing at all helpful or contructive to say because I honestly don't know what to say, but I didn't want to read and run.
Maybe you could start a diary for the boys, explaining how things happened, how you feel etc and put it in a box with birthday cards, photos etc - that way when they're old enough to ask for answers you'll have something tangible to show them how much they have been loved even though they aren't with you.

Well we had a pleasant time with the boys. DGS1 reckonised me immediately through the doors of reception and ran to me open armed. The baby grinned in his buggy. Then DGS1 called out to DGD. So its lovely. (Bit bitter sweet under the circumstances though). The boys were dressed in matching clothes and as always looked well kept and happy.
Twin2 held it together but was very quite on the way home.
Managed to have a catch up with Molly after lunch.
Not done anything else much today though.
    Procrastinating compaired with yesterday.
Dinner is in the slow cooker, so not much else to do.
DS is at his mates and not coming home tonight, so I may be having a curry tomorrow. (Curried casserole!).
    Time to dish up.

Maybe you should print out all this thread, so that they can read about the whole situation and how hard you tried. I know someone suggested making a book of it.

My thoughts are with you at this horrendous time - sorry I can't offer any practical help, so glad you've got Gizmo to help explain things, and all the support from Molly.

I started to print off part of the thread 1, and it took me ages and masses of ink!, to only get to about page 6! But I should get more ink soon, and continue to print it out.
I do think that I could write a book! But who would want to read it? Its a bit depressing really. But it may be therapy for me, as thethread has been, and will maybe give me a chance to re read things and see howfar I have actually come through all of this. Its a pity I cannot sit long enough, to organise myself. :o

I think that all of my friends on here have helped me, invaluably. I doubt I would have managed to get through these last 3 years without my MSE friends.
Maybe one day, I will meet more than Molly and Phillspad.

Time for DGD to go to bed.

awww mooloo, i wish i could help in a practical way. you know you are the person that if i had lots of money i'd find a way to help first, nice house, nannies for the children etc etc i know that its a pipe dream but .....

and i think you'll find you are an inspiration to a lot of people and turning your story into a book, whilst it has its sad moment would also have a lot of joy

I would be very carefull about what you print and as some things said have been said in the heat of the moment and could be misconstroud by 2 vunerable and emotional young men it may be better to copy and paste the most relevant pieces if you see what i mean

Oh I would not print it as a book as it is, I would more, turn to each post to find the mood I was in, the battles I was fighting, and the resolutions if any. (IF I ever do get around to writing anything.).

This morning I am at the new doctors as I have run out of my voltarol, and low on most every other tablet too!.
DGD is due to see her Mum for Stay and Play, but is now not going swimming. So I will only have about an hour, there will be no point in coming home. I shall visit my Mum and Dad, and have a cup of tea with them.

I have a Landscape gardener coming to quote and advise me on the back garden! That will be interesting, and expensive no doubt! But its only a quote,I need a few no doubt for the comparisions etc etc. Then need to establish the funds for such task! It will have to go to the Fostering TEam Panel, as it is them that are requesting the garden is safe for DGD, and that there is a side gate attached. That will not be cheap either.
Time to catch up with Molly, and then get going.

Morning all, I usually read and run but was wondering about a wanted add in your local newsagents or local shop. That way you should be able to get your hands on a retired or unemployed person who likes to garden and will willingly do so for an hourly fee which will enable you to pay what you can afford as and when you can afford it rather than a landscaper who is likely to quote several hundred or even thousand pounds.
