  • Maybe you aren't sleeping well because you have so much on your mind? In the past, if I'm having a bad time sleeping I use nightnurse for a few nights to 'reset' my sleep patterns.

Not a bad idea but with all the medication Mooloo is on maybe something herbal would be better?

My friend who lives in the USA suffers with time differences when travelling so she uses Nytol which is herbal. There are other similar products available of course!

I darent take anything else. All the stuff I am on is supposed to make me drowsy as it is! yes there is a lot on mymind. But then there always has been. Being stabbed isnt usually one of the things that I would be dreaming or thinking about though.!
I have managed a shower, and still sitting in my towels! Just had to sit down before attempting to go upstairs and get dressed. Its a good job that I am not on a tight time schedule today! Not till lunchtime anyway.
I am wondering if I should just postpone the dentist until my sore throat has gone. Actually yes i think I will now!

Mooloo it is more than likely one of the medications you are taking that is giving you nightmares. You need to ask the chemist himself to check for you. It is not unusual for this to happen.

Well I managed to change the dentist to next Tuesday afternoon.
I took DGD to see her Mum still, and then I went to see my parents. But it was all much of an effort.
Unfortunately we had a little upsetting news, that my Dad's moles are skin cancer, so he will have to have them removed in the new year. So my poor Mum is worried. But hopefully they have caught it early and he will be one of the lucky ones. But its still another thing to deal with.
I brought twin2 home with me, to help with DGD again, and was able to relax a bit more.
I had a better night thank goodness. But what could have been worse.
We have the school Santa Grotto this morning, we alas are in the 9.30 - 10.30 slot and I am still not ready at all. Twin2 is languishing in the bath at the moment, she is really tired as DGD woke at 6.30 and when I refused to be pestered she crept down and pestered her aunty instead.
I had a cup of tea in my room before coming down at 8am!.
I have had my medications. Will speak to the doctors/pharmacist next week about the nightmares etc. As I will need to get my prescriptions sorted out for the christmas season. etc.
Only one more week of nursery, and a full on one as well. I think I may have to book her into the Holiday club for at least one session the week before.
Better go now or we will miss our slot at the Santa.
At least my sore throat is feeling much better and I can swallow better. Thank heaven for little mercies.

Well yesterday was a good day for DGD, she got to see Santa, and we did Lucky dip, and we also did tombola, bought Reindeer food, lollypops, tea and cake, face painting, stick on tatoos. etc. so granny's purse is rather depleated. Twin2 was still with me, and she volunteered to help out, which was so good of her as its not her daughter etc. I had to get help to find a chair as I was not so good. The cold had got to my bones, and I have triggered my sciatica again! Blow.
But in the afternoon after we had nipped back to get some more bits for Twin2 we came back, and I was able to have a rest while she sat with DGD watching a christmas film etc. they also did some craftwork, with glue and paint in the kitchen.
Twin2 also did the evening meal for us. Although she did add a bit too many spices to it. But it was tasty too me. Bonus.
With all of her help, although I still fight the fatigue it has helped me to recouperate from the virus/flu or what ever it was that I had. The other aches and pains are just part of the course for the winter I suppose.

I really need to get gathering the few bits and bobs that I have for Christmas and start sorting and seeing where i stand.
Luckily I am going to my eldest Daughters for Christmas day, so no food to do. Also means there will be no weeks and weeks of turkey left overs!.
Its time to pull myself up by the boot straps and try and get organised, to some degree anyway.
At least there is no time scale today, and no rushing around needed. So I can plod along. The only thing is to take Twin2 back to Towcester at some stage in the proceedings.
Now with her help to move the wet duvet out of the bathroom, (DGD spilt blackcurrent through it), then I will go for a shower and spend a little time on me and they can watch a bit of TV before I whip up the jobs!.

Morning, well we had a slow start yesterday, and after my shower, etc, we took quite a while to get rolling, but the washing got done, and the drying is either done or still on the rack, however it is in the front room!
After an early lunch, I had a nap for an hour, before taking twin2 back. After that I went to see my parents, as DGD wanted to see her great grandad. She was fascinated by an ecard that they have. its an advent one, and when you click on the number more things happened etc. Beautiful card, and obviously each day more things will happen. We will have to visit again so she can see whats next!.
We didnt get home until tea time.
After tea, and DGD went to bed I finally started to get a few christmas bits done. I started to make cards. My first ever attempt (exceot I once sewed a valentines card for exBF). I struggled to follow the instructions from the magazine, and decided I actually hated the ones that they made and thought that they were actually quite ugly cards!. So I used some of the pieces to start to create a variation for myself. But it took me hours just to make 4 cards and it was 11.30 before I managed to go to bed!. Stupid me was doing it on the floor, and so now I ache in places that I havent used in quite a while.
    Time for breakfast.
This morning we have Nursery, then this afternoon we are off to MK with my eldest to see Santa!. Two granddaughters and a picture with Santa. Wonderful.

Well we had a busy day as predicted. The girls were well behaved for the Santa and we have a lovely photo taken. DS came with us, and mooched and bought a present for his girlfriend out of his first Jobseekers money. Bless him he was so intent on her having the best he could afford with his money. She is due to come back from Scotland in a week, so he is missing her. Young love.
It was a long day for me, and a bit to much hobbling around with my walking stick. But its done now. Today though I am rather stiff and achey! dispite having the heatpad on my usual hotspots.
I dealt with the EDF representative and argued that as I was in credit that there was no way that they needed to double my D>D's and that if I do use excess then I will spread the costs over the year, thats the idea of paying monthly DD to spread the payments. Eventually after a problem with thier system he rang me back, and agreed the reduced offering of £45 a month. Which is 1/3 more than I was paying. (They wanted £67!).
We also discussed the electric supply. He doesnt have enough records of mine (only went to them in september), so he suggests that i look at the readings by pressing the buttons, etc and seeing what we use over night. If i am using much more in the day then the night, then to switch, as I am on economy 7, which I doubt is much good to me with nothing much on on the nighttimes. But I cannot reach the meter without standing on a chair, and thats not really a good idea. Certainly not when I am wobbly or on my own.

I didnt do anything in the evening, I was just too tired. Instead I caught up on a prerecorded issue of Garrows Law before I went to bed.

I still woke several times, but was in quite a deep dream when DGD woke me this morning. I have woken to a headache and we have the nursery concert this morning. Eek.
Time we got dressed and out.
