  • Just sending you and Molly some hugs. I haven't posted much recently but nearly always read a daily summary of your thread.

It seems to me you have done just the right thing taking control. BF seems only interested in looking after himself. That just won't do.

I love hearing about your craft projects. I am using sewing and patchwork to try and pull myself out of my own black hole caused by poor health.

Who knows what the future holds ?

    lots of love and hugs

Thanks, I hope that the sewing helps, I know that it has helped Molly a little bit, and always helps me to forget and enjoy myself.
Dispite my side tracking I have managed to make my Dad his oven mitt, and a matching tea towel out of what was once a french curtain.
I shall post a picture on my blog later when i have been to get DGD from Nursery now.
So I am pleased. There has been no contact from BF today. There wont be now, as China is 8 hours ahead of us. I think I can safely say he will be noticeable by his abscence for the rest of the week at least.
Time to get DGD. Its been a lovely 24 hours and I thought I was going to be lost without her, but its been a good break.
The weather has turned from the cold frost and clear sky to the heavy gloomy cloud cover. yuk. So depressing.

    Hello Oystercatcher,
How lovely to hear from you - I think of you often xx

Im also getting into patch work but it still doesn't beat the thrill of catching a baby. Lots of love and hugs to you too xx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

How does that work? Talk Talk are going to credit the account, then apparantly I can request a refund. At least thats what they say!

Next on the gift list is to make something for my Mum.
They never want a gift as they say they have everything they need, but I cannot mark it without something no matter how little it is. Thinking of a lingerie case, made out of traycloths/napkins that have been embroidered.? Going to experiment later or tomorrow as I am getting quite tired, and when DGD goes to bed it will probably be one of the days when i have an early night!.

  • if its paid by direct debit then the banks have the direct debit guarantee system and if you have a disputed payment they can recall all the money,

    Love your Dads gift!

One of the most useful things I gave my Mum (once she got to a certain age where she had everything!) was shoe bags. She thought it was great to be able to pack shoes for her travels knowing that they would not mess up her clothes. I'm sure you could make those easily!

I hope DGD is OK after her adventures & not playing you up.
