Hi Mooloo, I've never posted on your thread before but have been following you for a long time. (am also a mouse, IYKWIM)
I have wanted to ask you for a while, you bought this cover for your washing line outside a while back, what do you think of it? I looked at it at the time you mentioned it but wasn't sure whether to buy one or not. Do you think it is worth it?
And more important: Does the local beastie population not all gather under it? I am not a big fan of all the creepy crawlies and scared that spiders and other small wildlife will all find a home under it and get into my washing or in my hair when I hang the washing under it. I would value your opinions on it.
Oh and Happy Birthday hun
Hi All, back from our relaxing, pampering. It was so relaxing. Now i am back in the throng. But I am going to be taking DGD with me now to BF's. He is off sailing this afternoon, so we will be there when he gets back.
DGD was fine while I was away, and everyone pulled together to make it happen for us.
The Rotair cover is Brilliant in my opinion. It keeps the washing from being deposited on from both the birds and the rain!.
I havent experienced but a couple of bees that have been caught up in the sides. Lift it and they have happily bussed off.
There is an air vent so the warm air circulates and the washing continues to dry even when its raining.
I would recomment it. When the weather is iffy, you dont have to dash back to get the washing off the line, and if you choose to use it in the summer, like i do, the sun doesnt fade your clothes either.
Right I better swap the bits from my bag, and get us moving.
THANKYOU EVERYONE FOR THE WONDERFUL BIRTHDAY WISHES.
cATCH up properly Sun/Mon when i am back.

Afternoon, Came back a little earlier then I had planned, becuase DGD was nagging on about coming home since she woke this morning, and doing my head in!.
What a glorious day. Mind you I spent several hours sitting in the house watching the German GrandPrix. Yeah Lewis Hamilton won it.
BF has bought me a gardenseat swing! How good is that! Mind you he also bought me a huge Mug and Coaster with FAb at 50 on it!.
It was only the other weekend that we were in B & Q and I walked passed one saying, Ooo that would be great when I get the garden done!. Now I dont even have to wait for the garden to be done. (Just for some help to errect it, as I managed to bring it home down the centre of the car, with DGD in the front passenger seat.).
I am very tired. Not sure if its the noise, or the disturbed sleep catching up on me.
Oh well, its been a fantastic weekend and I couldnt have ever dreamt or asked for anything better really.
Yes lets hope that my life has turned a new corner and the next chapter is a good one.
On my actual birthday I had an appointment for 50 minutes with a doctor who deals in alternative medicines, and who I discussed my medications and what I could do to help myself.
She had this amazing tool that looked like a giant computer mouse, which she got me to place my hand on for a few minutes.
While we were talking about the Spine problems first she then started to look at the computer and tell me that there were other things wrong with me.
Her first port of call was my Heart. She said that I had problems with my heart, all though most of that was from stress. I agreed that I had had the odd "fluttering" and had put it down to my medication/moving suddenly etc. But she said I should mention it to my own GP. But she thought that most of it was the stresss. I did discuss then the stress, in a nut shell over the things that you all have experienced with me. She also picked up on my elbow, my fingers in my left hand. My left knee, of course the spine. She told me my iron levels, lungs and liver were OK.
She diagnoesed my having a weak stomach, and the constipation that I get. She suggested that I was lactose intollerant. That I should change my milk to Soya milk.? Who knows on that one, we will have to see.
But what shocked me was that this machine could tell her all my hotspots. Including my broken toe!!! How incredible was that.
Obviously she said I had to look at reducing my stress and we explored the options of the children and agreed that I had made the right decisions for the family in the long run. She also told me that I had a very facinating life and that I should write a book. If she told me that a few times she told me that about 6 or 7 times through out the course of the appointment. The thing that she left me with as a parting shot was that I must write that book as it would help others, it would be a release for me, and it would be the way that I made my money to support my self and my family in the future.
(Was she turning astrologer here????). Anyway I have heard this on here from several people, and I started to re read the 1st Thread when I moved here, and did think about it. How I would go about writing a book, I have absolutely no idea. But I promised Molly that I would try, and that when I made my money we would return to Ragdale Hall for her 50th Birthday.
I didnt talk to my BF about this treatment as he would think that it was all gobbledegook, but I could not believe how this programme could get all of that from the palm of my hand.??
Oh she also told me to re try the tens machine, and showed me where to put the pads. She also agreed that the accupuncture was not the way forward, and that I should see an Oesteopath, and not a chiropractor. That there was quite a difference.
Anyway, that was an amazing experience in my book, and she was so accurate about all of the hot spots of my health that I believe her completely.
I will get another Tens machine. Try soya milk, and gather my thoughts together about my youth, and the early life, and move on up through some of my old diaries, editing and getting the most important factors and see if it does turn out to be book material. Mind you I am not abandoning Mooloo's as at the moment that is still my priority.
I really am truely greatful to all the help and inspirations that writing my threads on MSE has given me, all the financial advise, the moral support and the Virtual and real friendships that this has brought me.
I feel that actually through all the Carp I have had in my life, I am still a very Lucky person. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
I'm so glad you had a birthday to remember, sounds like you had a fabulous time at Ragdale and a wonderful birthday present from the BF - the mug will be useful too
I read the bit about the consultation with the Doctor (of what I wonder) with interest, and to be honest thought you were writing it as a joke. Even you seem to be wondering about it "I didnt talk to my BF about this treatment as he would think that it was all gobbledegook, but I could not believe how this programme could get all of that from the palm of my hand.??"
You're an intelligent woman, you know if such an amazing machine worked as you were led to believe, every GP in the country would have one on their desk. It would save vast amounts of time, and the NHS a phenomenal amount of money.
Clearly it was a very interesting experience for you- but perhaps it needs to be treated as just a bit of fun.
Hope you can find someone asap to put your garden swingseat together, so you can enjoy it......................I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

At £65 for the consultation I wasnt going for Fun. But I will take some of it with a pinch of salt so to speak. However the fact that it picked up on my problems that I didnt tell her about, I found to be amazing. The only information she had from me was the name cervical spondylosis. She could not have known about my broken toe, my problem with my knee, my elbow or my loss of feelings in my fingers. I agree she could guess about constipation, as that can be a sign of the tablets that I am on. I actually saw the hotspots etc on the computer screen. Even to the colour degrees etc etc.
How ever it worked, trickery or not. It was Accurate, spookily so.
I do feel that I am a reasonably intelligent woman, but I am also open to other things in the universe as I do also still believe in Aura's and Angels. You may think I am off my rocker, but there you go.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
