Mooloo's New Home, New Year and New Start part 3

Mooloo, I only said it as I am a little older than you
I am never sure about alternative therapies either but I have had proof that faith healing works and my osteopath got me mobile after my back seized up after years of sitting badly at a desk and again after a car accident. I think it is a bit like religion or placebo's, if it works for you and it isn't harming anyone else carry on doing it :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I know you may struggle to pay for DGD's nursery over the summer but I think it is a great idea. It gets her out from under your feet and gets her socialising with other children - at her age that is very important. The summer holiday's are long enough without having to amuse her 7 days a week.:j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0 -
Morning, I was so tired yesterday, I am surprised I made it to 9pm to go to bed. However I started to write down a few things that I want to sort out for the grounds to write a book. Spent about 45 minutes on it. It is a scarey prospect, but as I write so easily on here, I hope that maybe I will be able to dig deep and start at the beginning. Who knows. Nothing ventured nothing gained as they say.
Biggest of mooloo had come over yesterday, so she helped me to sort out one of the bookcases in my sitting room, and get rid of the junk lurking. She also had a bit of a blitz in DGD's bedroom for/with me. We removed quite a lot of broken junk etc. Or small bits from freebies on magazines etc and cut up bits of paper etc etc. So we have managed to gain a little space. The soft toys are rather taking over though!.
It was good to see her. Her BF is talking with her, and they are still hanging on in there at the moment. Lets hope that its just a bit of Dad having post natal blues himself!!!
I managed a small amount of sewing but just was not up to much. Holding the baby does take its toll on my arm, and I was taking my medicines earlier then normal.
Today I have to go to Towcester to my parents, to let the Beko engineer in to sort their fridge freezer, and then collect twin1 for her usual visit to see DGD. Lets hope that this week she doesnt cancel for something silly. While I am at Mum and Dads I will see about cutting thier back lawn. Its some what overgrown. The neighbour cuts the front as its all open plan, but doesnt go to the back. I also should have been watering her plants and havent done that while I was away etc so its been over a week. Thank goodness its been wetter lately.
I shall take some handsewing with me, and sew some buttons on to my bits and bobs so that they are then ready to photograph and get onto the website! Two months and its still not up and running properly.! I really am far too much of a procrastinator these days.
Time to make a check on my mail etc and of course the bank account. Still no sign of the Gas refund that was supposed to have been there before now. About a week ago! When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Well predictably the bank account was very very low. But I expected that.
I waited at my Mum and Dads for the Beko engineer. When he finally arrived, nearer to 2pm, he looked at the fridge then said, well thats me finished, you dont need the part changed! And was gone in about 4 minutes. Apparantly the fridge/freezer serial number was at the end of the runs span, and was actually already fitted with the correct part. What a worry, and what a waste of time. Well I suppose its not a waste if it had been the wrong thing then it would have been unsafe. But it felt as if it was.
I did cut up two mens shirts, ready for bunting etc, and use the central panels today, ready to make myself a hanging strip to display the handbags. IF it works.I also sewed on my buttons.
Have DGD's mum here so I am hoping to get a bit of a more relaxed evening again. May get to sew. Had a sleep this afternoon as for some reason I felt completely whiped out. She has brought her washing over, dispite the machine being installed at her sisters. apparantly there is a mountain of washing at hers and so she cannot get to use it. Typical.
Anyway she is washing it< Not me.
Time to raid the freezer for the evening meal. I cannot find my menu plan.! Hopefully it will surface soon as its all the way to September! What a load of work waisted if I dont find it.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

Did you do the menu plan on the computer Mooloo? Is there a saved file with it on? Just asking as I always forget I have a saved copy once I have printed it out:j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0

No, wish I had! I scribbled it down on the back of the meat receipt that I had. It was on my coffee table, but Biggest was having a bit of a clear out for me, and I think it probably went walkies then!!
Oh well, it will teach me to write on paper. I really should be doing these sort of things on the computer.
I am very much a pen and paper person really.
DGD is in Nursery, early start at 8am.- 1pm. Taken her Mum back.
She has left one wash load still going around in the machine, so I will need to hang them out. But considering the fact that she actually got that far, its a big improvement.
I can hang it out as the rotaire will keep the weather off of it, if necessary. Its a rather dull day here. That already is affecting the way I feel.
I am still waiting for my Nurses appointment on Friday, to have my ears done. Meanwhile I am suffering from being deaf in the right ear, not so hot in the left, and have synus problems around my eyes!!
Oh well, it could be worse. Although I am not sure what its going to be like by Friday!.
I made a purse and a wallet last night, previously cut out ones.
I also finished the hanging strap, and a second one.
I have devised a way of hanging the bags, with the use of the centre panel of mens shirts. I must get a photo graph up.
Right if I dont get on the sewing machine now, I will side track all the time.:DWhen I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

These downloads are fab. I always look here first, before spending time designing something on my computer, as someone has usually done it already.0 -

Thanks for those links. I have downloaded them, although I have no ink in the printer at the moment, so I will print them and use them in the future.
:T
Just stopped for a cup of tea. I have managed to make one purse, and one small tote/handbag, and part finished another purse. I have just put my own second wash on as well.
DGD will be picked up for me at 1pm, so I will be free to continue with my sewing this afternoon.
Tomorrow we have an appointment at the John Radcliffe for DGD to have her eye check up. So we are going to go down to Oxford tonight, and stop at the BF's. Gives me a chance to see him mid week, which is extremely rare these days.
It will also mean I do not have to drive there and back in one day, which is always better for my arm. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Well I have managed to post the pictures of the sewing that I did yesterday, onto my blog page. Really does make it look like I had been busy. Well I had. Wish I was still in the sewing room. But I have DGD today.
We have been over to Oxford to the eye hospital, but she seems fine, no sign of the squint that the health visitor thought there was. I think she was just tired. The lady said that DGD has quite a wide bridge to her nose, and that can make her look more as if she is squinting, but at this age the nose usually "settles in" to the rest of her growing....mmmm we will see what happens. Bless her.
We are both shattered. Didnt sleep too well last night, and i could easily fall asleep here in my chair if I sat still long enough.
I have a mass of washing waiting to go out on the line, and yesterdays washing up to tackle. So looks like there will not be much rest for me. But I think I feel a cup of tea coming on first.!!When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
