I'm just off on the trike to buy some wheelie bin liners to count as one black bag.
I know this is a bit sneaky, but they are pretty good about picking things up! I'm also taking four impulse buy clothing items that I've hung on to for years to the CS, along with 2 sets of suction safety handles that wouldn't work on my slightly textured tiles.Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. I was feeling a little disheartened this morning as I didn't really get much done yesterday, but this afternoon/early evening I've cleaned out and re-organised my pan cupboard; made space in another cupboard for a few bits; wiped down all the cupboard fronts; cleared all the kitchen sides (apart from 'the side' - this one gets all the post, kids pictures, keys, bits of everything and anything dumped on it. We had one in our last house and it's followed us here!), given them a good wash down and re-arranged things, i.e. the kettle and microwave have been moved and although I haven't actually got rid of anything it does now look there's more space
I am determined to tackle 'the side' tomorrow afternoon whilst DD2 is at playgroup. It has to be done for Sunday when my parents come to visit - mainly because they'll need space to dump the stuff they're bringing down lol. Apart from 2 pictures the kids did at PG and school there's been no other 'ins' todayExtra savings aim for 2020 £4,000 £0/£4,000

:jWho's up for a challenge this weekend?:j
I'm going to try and declutter 20 things this weekend.
I'm also going to blitz the living room surfaces (floor and tables).
Finally, to tidy the kitchen surfaces.
Will try and do the latter 2 using a timer and spending say only 15 mins on each.
Anyone want to join me or set their own challenge?:TDeclutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

My challenge for this weekend is to "child-proof" the house - although I've got a 3 year old of my own, he knows the rules, and we have 2 small visitors coming who don't. Other people's children are great though - you get to hand them back at the end of the day!:rotfl:0

Oh heck, I never thought about rescue centres, mea culpa, what makes it worse is that I sponsor Barney the English Springer Spaniel from Darlington Dogs' Trust. The quilts are now sodden after heavy rain. I will have other things that may be of use to them, though, old throws and blankets.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0
