My challenge is to fill a black bag for the charity shop and to list at least five items sitting in the Ebay box, also to relist everything that didn't sell last time.

I filled half a bag for the charity shop, relisted everything and listed one new item on Ebay, so not too bad overall... I will try and fill the rest of the bag by next weekend as it will involve looking through boxes in the spare room of doom! I am finding my current book quite boring, so that can go in the bag as well. I will start a new book from my overloaded bookcase!

NicNocs - I must admit to having got rid of all of my easily creased clothes. I had one shirt that I stopped wearing because I knew it was awful to iron, so gave it to charity!

I didn't actually get round to writing myself a weekend challenge, but like many of you it involved ebay! Got the 2 things listed I wanted to, as well as relisting everything else unsold from last time. 2 things (alas only small things) have a bid on already, so I know they'll be gone. I listed a large stack of CDs on our local facebook selling page, along with a few DVDs and a couple of DVD games & computer games, and a few other bits. Hoping some of this sells - lots of crossed fingers as we could do with the space and the extra money.

As the girls were away at their Dad's, on Sunday OH and I were very good and got up early to do a few things. The large toys from the playroom we put in the spare room a couple of weeks ago have gone up in the loft along with some 'memory' bits. Out came the Christmas stuff (really wasn't expecting so much!!) including a box of smallish mainly Disney Princess presents I'd got last year in the sales. Oops, forgot about those, but at least I am now sorted for stocking fillers and presents for their friends!

DD2 and I are about to head upstairs to the gigantic pile of pjs so sort out what can go, what can be stored for DD2 when she's older and what needs to go back in the pj case :)

    Definitely joining this thread :D

Probably going to put my DAB digital radio on ebay as I have moved abroad and it doesn't work here.
Also going to clear out the loft space (aka the point of no return :D ) this coming weekend I expect.
My parents are getting me a Kindle for Christmas too so next year I will be buying few to no physical books and will be able to sell some old ones.
Got some old CDs kicking around too so there's really no excuse :D
  • Update on weekend challenge

Manage only to relist 2 things on ebay, did sort through junk mail and recycle, bin bag of stuff to cs(not stuff that would I spend time puting on ebay) one bottle to bottle bank.

Found DD2 school shoes and the form I needed to fill in for a magazine sub for my Dad for Christmas.

Oh and I even managed to pull out and use the furniture polish in the living room (athough it smells a bit funny, can this stuff go off?):o.
Broken plate found in DD1 room - had to be binned.

DD2 room now is void of clothes on floor, but the washing machine has packed in, so pile of clothes in kitchen.:(

small challenge for today - got a small pile of papers/post on kitchen window sill, I'm pretty sure just about all of it can be binned/recycled, so I'll get on with that, say before 6pm?:)

Woo hoo 95% of huge ironing mountain done and put away this morning :D Had to leave the rest as had to collect DD2 from Nursery then do lunch etc so have put it away for another day. Still have loads of other jobs to be getting on with, so best get on with it. Tuesday is grandparent night so off to make a shepherds pie now and do a bit of tidying round.

I was pleased with myself yesterday for making a 'using up stuff' tea. Some reduced lamb steak thingies and courgette fritters (tummy yum) from the freezer, pasta mixed with leeks that needed using up and a packet of cheese sauce found in the cupboard. Also made up some slightly ood angel delight with milk that needed using up, which is OH's favourite so I was in his good books :) Found a few ood bits in the cupboard so chucked those and we now have room in the freezer and cupboards for Christmas bits!

I've not been able to do much recently due to having backache and sciatica (I suffer from this quite a lot, and when it starts I'm in agony and can hardly move), then last week we went away for a few days.

My back pain isn't as bad today as it has been, so this morning I did some tidying in our room, (which looked like a bomb had hit it, lol!) and put some spare toiletries, a holdall, a cooler bag and a couple of other bits in the cupboard of doom, got rid of some paperwork, some cardboard packaging and a couple of empty glass jars, and decided to put a pair of old jeans that I don't wear into the charity bag.

Also I put our suitcases back in their plastic bags to keep the dust off them, and put them on top of the wardrobe. I had to make room for them, so I've finally got rid of the box which had the paperwork and accessories for our computer (as it only contained an envelope of paperwork and a modem in a box), and the box with same from our 1st computer has gone into the spare room, until I get get around to sorting through it.

I've done some washing, 2 loads out on line and 3rd being done at the moment. Just going to have a bit of lunch, then I will finish off in our room and do some ironing before the pile gets any bigger!

And so the decluttering continues, cleared out under the stairs made a start on the loft:

    Out:
Old bed and 4 fence panels collected by council
    Bike helmet -sold
Bike- sold and paid for, waiting for it to be collected
    New Winter Coat- sold
1/2 charity bag put out with clothes/ bits n bobs

Sadly though due to the strike the bin wasn't collected and I didn't put it out last week as this was pre clear out and it was less then half full- hence now its groaning at the sides!!!!!!! Video in Ds's room is now working so I can't get rid of the videos now.
