Still sorting out the bedroom (all clothes), washed 6 more loads of clothes, 4 are on line, 2 dried ready to sort through, about 4 more loads, then bags to CS. Sorted out one hallway cupboard, still one to go then cupboard under sink and cutlery drawer, bathroom, then finished, then I'm vacuuming carpets, washing carpets, curtains and windows and then starting all over again to see if I can get rid of more.
Think it's rubbed off on OH lol as he is apparently cleaning the car tomorrow.
Also gone today, recycling and rubbish.0 -
Sorry not posted for a while - decluttering went out of the window a few weeks back due to work and family stuff - Have had a weeks holiday and came down with a cold - typical.
Was supposed to be decluttering house during this week but ended up sniffling on the sofa for first couple of days then helped a friend declutter a large piece of garden to the side of theirs (it belongs to a neighbour who is not well at the momnet and can't manage it) - took us nearly three days and we filled 16 recycle bags of garden trimmings etc, not grass, I am talking serious weeds here..
Anyway it's going to have that weed resistant matting put down and pebbles/slate on top so at least it will be easier to cope with in future - a couple of pots on top just to keep it cheary.
So my house is still a mess in fact I have realised I only ever do a proper de clutter when I need to find something (as in my DD2 passport last time) - so anybody fancy coming round and hiding my handbag? It's probably the motivation I need.:rotfl:Crazy Clothes Challenge 2012 £57.20/£100,CCC 2013 £68.67/£100 ,CCC 2014 £94.32/£100

Well i managed to sort one declutter area last night - sorted out my underwear. holey socks and tights in the bin with worn out knickers!
Would be good to get another area done today but i think my meal plan for next week is higher on my priority list and i wont get both done.
pavlovs_dog - definitely motivating! I felt on a high all day knowing DD2 had a 'perfect' room. Unfortunately it made me yell at her this morning for leaving her towel in the middle of the floor after i had spent so much time on her room!Orange Fairy

woohoo Inventory and meal plan done - meal plan should declutter the freezer and random sachets in the cupboards!!
Then i had time to declutter the medicine/snack cupboard. Tidied - kept out medicine i need to give back to Mum. Thrown away hard cake icing, squished lypsyl, and got rid of cardboard boxes and put biscuits neatly in the snack box.
Getting there! Off to edit the above list!Orange Fairy

You are doing well OrangeFairy
I've almost de-cluttered my huge pile of washing, put a lot of it away and some in CS bag. Made my cushions last night while watching Shameless and did usual stuff like washing up etc. Cupboards in hallway next and washing carpets.
Anyone know if the Oxfam M&S voucher system is per item or per bag load?0 -

There is the link slm
Weather looking grey out there- If it gets nice i will be trying to sort the garden - decluttering stones! If it stays cold i wil declutter in the house!
Decluttering at it's most obsessive-
Yesterday my DD2 coughed so i jumped up and asked her if she had a bad cough and need cough medicine - she said no - i was disappointed! The reason i was disappointed was becuase i know there is only one spoonful of cough medicine in one of the bottles as i sorted the cupboard yesterday and i was looking forward to decluttering it into the bin! (we have a second one in there too!!)
There you go - wanting my child to have a cough so i can declutter the medicine bottle! lol xOrange Fairy

after putting it off for aaaages tonight i've finally sat down and started to tackle the mountain of paperwork that has built up in the study. Slowly de-junking the filing cabinet (goodbye receipts from 2005,6 and 7
) and am trying to improve the order of the things already filed to make the process even simpler in future.
need to decide on the most effective way of storing personal docs (passports etc). any thoughts?know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0
