Right i am armed with a bin bag - new under bed boxes and a huge amount of motivation to declutter and sort DD2's room!!!
I plan to take everything out and put it back in sorted! It is the 'box' room so there isn't tonnes of stuff in there!
DD1's room with be the hardest work but i need to sort DD2's first as some bits from her room will be going as it is a bit babyish, then stuff from DD1's room with be going into DD2's room - such as all the dressing up outfits. Only when DD2's room is completed will i know what room DD1 has!!
Looking forward to it!! xxOrange Fairy

Sold 2 items on Ebay - waiting for payment before posting. 'Decluttered' about 30lb plums to various neighbours & STILL the tree is loaded. Going to make some jam with the ones that the wasps have had a nibble at. Not decluttering but at least moneysaving!
I've got a lot of work clothes that I no longer need - I've ebayed some but not had much response so I am going to try a dress agency that's not far from me. All of it is really good quality so I'm loath to give it away yet. I do keep meaning to do a boot sale but I've never done one - maybe.........Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -

Decluttered lots of cat !!!!!! and weeds from the front garden
4 loads of washing (still some left to do!), half is dried and sorted, half is drying/needs to dry/still washing
Lots of ironing done but still plenty more to do
Found a load of brown paper that was used as packing materials in things I ordered at Xmas, don't know why I saved it really so that's gone in the recycle bin along with a few odd bits of paper etc
My girls should be back from their dad's soon (so much for early afternoon!) and will no doubt fill the living room with bags and toysExtra savings aim for 2020 £4,000 £0/£4,000

Oooh - sounds good! Do you have the recipe please? I dont have apricots but assume you could use dried?
I did try a plum sauce a few years ago with a wild Mirabelle plum but it took ages to 'mature'Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -

Woohoo i feel so pleased with myself!
Emptied DD2's bedroom!!! And i mean completely - only curtains and her bedframe left in there. Then i moved her bed to a new position and sorted everything back into the room using new good quality boxes for under her bed.
There is not a single thing in that room that shouldn't be in there. I decluttered everything down to her jewellery and underwear. All socks and tights were check for holes and bad looking hangers were thrown out!
One HUGE binbag that is almost ripping to the bin! A binbag full for the charity shop and about 10 items to sell.
A darn good day! Next to start on DD1's room.Orange Fairy

days like that are really motivating aren't they orangefairy - bet you feel ready to take on the world (or, at least, the rest of the house
)
I'm on a mission to get the house as straight as possible whilst i'm off for the summer holidays. Finding it hard to stay focused and motivated at times, but I keep telling myself that I didn't accumulate all this junk overnight.
Spent this evening having a good old sort out in the bedroom. removed things that don't belong there to the relevant room (to be dejunked/tidied when I get to that room). sorted through the wardrobes to ensure we were making the best use of space. even did some ironing and put the clothes away.
last few bits tomorrow then it's all done and I can cross it off of the 'to do' list.
Can't decide whether to deep clean as I go or get the house straight then deep clean at the end of summer before school starts again. any thoughts? (my aim once I'm on a more even keel is to get back into Flylady - and keep it up).know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
After my mad cleaning and tidying last week, I have mostly had a CBA week, as I've not felt like doing much before or after work, but the house is still reasonably tidy and I've kept my ironing clear so far, also I've posted 15 ebay items, and I've taken my dad's washing back to him, along with a rubber door mat for his front step, which OH found when he cleared a corner of our garden on Sunday.
I finished a bottle of hair conditioner, a bottle of shower gel, and a can of deodorant, all empties in recycling, along with more paperwork and cardboard.
It was DS's 30th birthday today, so we went out to dinner with him last night, (as he's just got a new job and had to go for some training tonight) and took his presents and cards.Weight loss challenge 2/10lbs
