When I got home from work today the weather was lovely again, so I decided to have a bit of a sort out in the big shed. This shed is stacked full with all sorts of stuff, including about 4-5 big boxes filled with VHS videos:eek:, toys, games and loads of other stuff which we were trying to sell at car boot, tools, screws, nails and mega loads of tat! There are also lots of cobwebs, spiders and other bugs in there, so I had to wear a pair of latex gloves while sorting stuff out as I don't like touching things like that with my bare hands!

I only pulled out a few boxes to go through, as I think it will be easier if I do the majority of it at weekends, when OH can help with lifting the boxes out of the shed, but I did get another 2 boxes for CS (small toys, cassettes, a pile of old plates and a few other bits), and I have a box of broken and tatty bits to go to the tip.

While sorting through, I found the charger for our electric screwdriver which I've been looking for for ages, and a lead (which I can use to transfer some tapes onto the computer), which I didn't know we had, so that was a result!

Might get a bit more done in there at the weekend if it stays nice, but right now I'm flipping worn out and having a well earned cup of coffee!

Had loads of decluttering to do but was finding it hard to actually get it done then my daughters marriage broke down and she moved back in with me. This was a few months ago but the spare room has now been decluttered for her. Then my bedroom which was quite a task was done and I've decorated and its nice and tidy now. We were waiting for some good weather to sort out the shed. That was done a couple of weeks ago and this morning we took all the junk to the tip. It makes you feel really good when you can see the difference you've made. Mmmm what shall I tackle next..lol

Oh yes I agree, it makes one feel sooo good! I feel lighter now that I have a decent kitchen again :) And if you can re-decorate, this is a bonus! I wish I could, but I live in rented accommodation, so I will have to be patient and wait for our own house one day :)

DH has decluttered half of one of the flower beds in the back garden in readiness for planting out the summer veggies.
I've decluttered a (lot of) cake :o and am about to declutter my self into work for 4 nights :) I have finished lots of toiletries this week so they are all in the recycling bin ready for collection tomorrow. Hope DH remembers to put the bins out though!

I've not been on here for a while, well weeks and weeks - I just totally lost my mojo, but regained it last week again.

I'll say we've as DH got his backside into gear too and gave me a hand.

    So far we've got done:

2 large bags of clothes to DD's school's Africa appeal.
Chucked out my old comfy underwear/socks and felt much better for it lol.
2 bags full of glass to recycling centre.
    Loads of cardboard put out.
DH tidied attic up abit - will sort out properly once house is in order.
Painted shelving and pine storage box in bathroom.
Cleaned bathroom up too and decluttered it of my mega stash of toiletries.
Joint effort in cleaning the kitchen.
Living room cleaned and dining table cleared of clutter.
Loads of items collected for car boot sale, which have all been stacked under the stairs.
Laptop given a spring-clean, so is nice and new looking.
DH vacumed my car, his still needs doing.
Xmas presents for kids been put up the attic before they were discovered.
DH cleaned inside of windows and front/back door - they were starting to get mouldy!
Both us us tackled the ironing mountain and got through the lot - even the dreaded sheets I hate!

    Still to be done:

DD's bedroom to be given a mega clean and tidy.
    Our bedroom to be cleaned/tidied.
DS's bedroom just needs a wee tidy/clean to make it presentable.
    Small pile of shredding.
Papers to be put in filing cabinet.
Small pile of clothing in need of minor repairs - been sitting for months and months!

Can't believe how much we managed to get done. We had DS's Christening at the weekend just past, so think that's what made us get on with alot - just hate when we're expecting visitors and the house is a total tip. DH is on holiday this week and next, so hopefully we'll get a little more done.
2017 - no clutter to be seen challenge: 72/2017
Weight loss the old style way challenge - 7/14lbs :j

    Have decluttered loads

    Old books and brochures recycled

Broken microwave taken by window cleaner

    Garden rubbish in recycling bin.

DH's old magazines in for recycling

    Carrier bag of rubbish binned.

    Boxes recycled.

Generally making the place look much tidier but still a long way to go.
