  • I have managed to do a few more things. The polystyrene mountain in the spare room is now gone after filling my dustbin with it for a few weeks. Got some clothes onto ebay, all things that I just don't wear. Moved an old cupboard from the spare room where it was useless into the back kitchen where it has a use, not really decluttering more rearranging the clutter but I'm glad I didn't get rid of it as it's saved me a few quid buying something for the back kitchen.

Good to see all you energetic types still working hard and making me feel like the lazy madam I am. ;)

I've packed my winter jumpers away under the bed, been through my tops drawer and sorted through the airing cupboard today.

I've found five tshirts, two jumpers and a pair of trousers to go to charity shop next time I go into town. Also I will see if my sister would like a cardigan (too big for me) and a scarf (never worn), if not they can go to charity shop too.

The spare room needs urgent attention due to the sheer volume of things in there now, but couldn't face that today! OH also has a massive pile of stuff next to his pc desk, but he is currently ill (man flu), so pointless trying to get him to move it at the moment.

Yay, I am so proud! After being a bit rubbish lately. I have had a huge heap of books collected by Age UK today. Am now feeling very virtuous and also gave another enormous pile of horse related books to a relative who popped in today to see me.

I have five new ebay sales, which can go out tomorrow.

In, is a new Kidfix child seat and I am a whole £108 poorer LOL

Still, got to keep DD safe as she was getting too big for the old one x

Garden storage in & up :) somehow I don't think I'll be so quick putting up the flat pack wardrobe when it arrives :rotfl:

Shoes (mail-order) not sure if I'm going to keep them though so may be "out" sooner than epected - A new pair of shoes is pretty essential for me - I have only one pair of shoes at the moment, they have all given up the ghost at the same time ...

    OUT

About 10 litres of long-life juice left over from my birthday party in January - donated to the newly opened community cafe in the building where I work.

Another busy day today. The bed in the spare room was stacked high with bags, boxes and piles of clothes etc., including some ebay stuff, and most of it is now sorted.

    While sorting I found:-

    9 double cassettes - CS
    24 single cassettes - CS
    CD boxset - CS
    2 towels - CS
    6 t-shirts/jumpers - CS
    Cassette storage cabinet - CS
    Cookery book - CS
    Bath mat - CS
These are now in the shed ready for OH to take to shop on Saturday.

3 bags of paper - recycling
One bag of cardboard - recycling
2 non-working pens and other random carp – binned
Ebay stuff neatly stacked in boxes

I also sorted out the airing cupboard, and put our excess sheets/pillowcases in a bag to give to DS and his GF, as they had a leak in their airing cupboard, which they didn't notice until it had ruined most of their bedding, I now only have 2 sets of bedding for each of our beds which should be enough.

In between de-cluttering, I also did three loads of washing (including our bedding and cushion covers), which all got dried out on the washing line, vacuumed and washed the kitchen and bathroom floors and zapped a few cobwebs. I'll be glad to go to work tomorrow for a rest, lol!

Gosh all so productive. This has made me feel very guilty.
DGD is watchng some TV, so I am going to see if I can get organised enough to be able to photograph a few bits and pieces of clothing that has been on my list to ebay for ahem--2 years? Well since I was in the house before last!! How bad is that!.
I also want to do something with 4 pairs of caravan curtains my Mum passed my way? Do I make them into cushions, aprons etc or try to sell them as they are?

Weeding definitely counts in my book - it's decluttering the garden, isn't it?

Yep, and the garden is definitely another room in my book :) Our garden is such a jungle that I see it like a very badly cluttered room. But it will get de-cluttered :D

The kitchen looks so much better! I am waiting for all the gifts to arrive so I can display them and I will then take the AFTER pictures. I am really chuffed at myself. 2 huge cardboard boxes of stuff to give away! Everything is cleaned from top to bottom. When DH and I can have a Saturday together, I even plan on washing the ceiling with sugar soap. I wish it was my house, I would have repainted the lot, lol.

I still have to clean the fridge (I do that regularly though, so not much work), hoover the velux frame and clean the oven (very grotty oven I might add :o ). But today, the most important thing is more me to make fly screen for the back windows, with some velcro and mosquito net.

By de-cluttering my home and doing the Spring cleaning, it feels like I am de-cluttering my mind and my soul at the same time. :)

    Good luck for today ladies.
