Finished DS1's bedroom - they finally sent in a search party at lunchtime! I emerged with 3 black bags of carp (why do we all have so many fish in our homes?:rotfl:), a full vacuum cleaner, and the entire contents of his wardrobe for washing and sorting. Then he came back from cadet camp - absolutely worn out (he went to bed at 5 o'clock:eek:) - so sorting clothes will now be tomorrow. Still, not bad for one weekend.0

It's like the joke about the Police being called to your home and thinking it'd been ransacked by burglars and it always looked like that.
Ah, yes. That did actually happen to me many years ago:o
250 to 300 items gone from here after 2 sales (record & book, vintage) and delivering some stuff to the second hand vinyl and CD shop with the stuff that didn't sell at the fair. And quite a lot of it has gone through 2 or 3 house moves - not in the same boxes, I hasten to add:D- so this is pretty radical for me.
ETA: Thanks for the tip on the Bonne Maman, I'll see if our 99p shop in town has it tomorrow.‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

Yes I am sure that definitely counts - won't ask what techniques of persuation/blackmail you had to use!! :Tcutiepieabf wrote: »Auctions finished last night on ebay so got rid of most of them and those that haven't sold have gone into the carboot bag. Also, a friend of mine is doing a stall for Womens Aid in a few weeks and has asked for bric a brac so thats more clutter out of the way! MIL has just given us a hoover she bought and has used twice but doesnt like because it is too heavy! This has been greatly received as i was getting fed up of having to stop every two mins to put the foot back on our hoover. it is a snazzy vax worth £160!! and is meant for houses with allergies/pets so we should be cat fur free for 5mins lol. It will be interesting if not mildly disgusting to see how much dirt comes out of the carpets first use bearing in mind i hoovered whole house yesterday with old hoover but it is pretty old now. hmmmm......just packaging up ebay items for trip to PO tomorrow.
How has everyone else's weekend gone? its been sooo windy our fence has completely blown down (call to estate agents tomorrow...)
Oh I remember when I upgraded my hoover - the new one sucked the carp out of my carpets and i was horrified at how much the previous one had missed!!
B*mmer about your fence. Mine has been rattling for a few days now but still there - did lose it last year so a tad nervous....the plastic Argooos greenhouse still on the ground (VERY heavily weighted down) but the poles have gone through the plastic. Can't face doing any further investigations or repairs today....
2 people dumped a load of stuff at my house today for my friends charity shop so my dining area is just full of flipping clutter and I picked up donations from our local pet shop for the resuce kitties and woofies so my car boot is now full of dog and cat food - and can't get hold of her now to get her to take delivery...aaargh!
So much for de-cluttering!!Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!0 -
juliebunny - no persuasion or blackmail ... i think he just got bored after 6 weeks of nagging lol
i've hit number 12! another bag of carp filled ... DD1 and DD2 are sat eating (again:D) so time for a sit down and a ciggie and then back to work lol

Would you like to help me de-clutter some ibuoprofen?! During my decluttering process I have found so many half used packs of ibuprofen and I keep looking at them thinking "I hope I get a headache soon so I can use some up"!!! :rotfl:
Just listing a few pairs of shoes on ebay - I am sick of my ever changing ebay pile in the living room but it's nice to have 'free money' in my paypal account0 -
well chuffed got number 10 of day one - a broken winnie the pooh tv off to the recycling centre. but hubby came back with a bike for DD2! but its in the shed so not in the house lol
