Just be sure to tell your homebrew friends and get them to tell theirfriends and also get them to pass it on, the more people that know the better. Not everyone will see the bad press on the internet before they order.
If you have a twitter / Facebook account, be sure to post the link to this thread.0 -
For all the unfortunate users of this company I would like to let you know their current state. I ordered from them last year and was happy with the service I got first time round, since then I have ordered only to be fobbed off time and time again, so I drove from Rugby to their offices to find it all closed up and no one around, Apparantly the baliffs came in last week and removed all stock and assets, they owe money in the region of hundreds of thousands of pounds and it is not the first time they have done this according to their old neighbours. I have contacted my bank and thankfully I can get my money back through the banks chargeback scheme however not all banks offer this so you will need to contact your banks and ask them(they dont advertise this fact) if they are a member. I even spoke to ritchies (the supplier of the beaverdale range of wine) who unfortunately did not know anything about this although it takes a few days for administrators to be notified apparantly. I for one will never use a company online again who do not have a phone number you can speak to a human being on. Although at this present time their websites are still up and running and collecting money!! Beware all fellow home brewers.0

Blimey ,vultures already on their forum trying to nick their customers
see cw1 posts.Even offering 5% discount if you use "brew it yourself" as a promo code, mind you can't blame them for trying.0 -
With the number of dissatisfied customers they may have, well done to other companies that try to pick up the pieces.0

Anyone checked out artisanbeers.co.uk for another alias? Will this be the next incarnation?0
-
Nominet says that artisan beers was registered by Esuasion Ltd in May 08. Esuasion was dissolved/wound up in March 2011 - directors were Messrs DP & LT.
Several related addresses for Esuasion. One at Butts Green Rd is an insolvency practitioner and D's is shown as Thorpe Bay, Southend - a residential area? An earlier address also shown in Rayleigh.
An application to renew artisan beers is in process even though it doesnt expire until May 14 so it might be a contender.
It currently redirects to the usual online-homebrew-company website.0 -
My account has been credited this morning with a full refund! I hope everyone else gets their money back!0

Anyone tried a test order with them this week to see if they still cant take payments ?0

OHBCo's website and forum would appear to have been removed, I'm getting error messages that “This is no longer available”.
Has the BIY trading name been picked up by somebody else?
Take a look at brewityourself dot co dot uk
However, click on “About Us” at the bottom of the page and you will find a York address and a telephone number.0
