Lots of posts been deleted from this thread.
Any explanation please? Is Mr DP afraid of the truth being told?0 -

There has ? Pretty shocking if that's true. As far as I can remember, there's not been any posts that have not been true. The section is called "Praise, Vent & Warnings" for a reason I would imagine. :undecided0 -
Maybe not allowed to name names.
Either way just go easy, I would hate for this thread to get deleted after all the good that has come out of it.
The site had been shut down for now so people are not getting knocked for cash.0 -

Yep some of mine have gone for sure. Luckily some good people quoted them so the info is still there - hah!
Maybe this section should be called: Complaints but please don't mention the company in question, it's director's names or their business practises (particularly if they've taken your money and done a runner).
So to sum up (all true and not defamatory) my order from TOHC was delayed by up to 2 months for delivery, I received little to no communciation, I had to initiate a chargeback with my bank for a refund (but they coughed up just in time - well over their 10 day promise).
So MSE before you ban/warn me I would gladly produce comprehensive screen shots of my order but the company have removed the website, cancelled orders, left loyalty points unaccounted for and... done a runner.
But I saved a screenshot just in case... :rotfl:0 -
My thread in relation to this RUBBISH company was removed, and I was asked for a list of evidence to support some of my claims - (which I supplied), so MoneySavingExpert could consider putting it back on without fear of legal action. I had more than enough evidence but the thread wasn't reinstated.
Goods displayed as "in-stock", until order placed and money taken, then suddenly some go "out-of-stock". As they don't deliver until the order is complete I was sitting around for weeks and weeks, chasing and/or waiting. Getting emails claiming items going in and out of stock and repeated changes in expected delivery dates.
In the meantime they'd removed their email and phone number from the site, so only able to contact them through "FAQ's", usually ignored. I'd kept the addresses but the phone just had a sort of not in use answerphone message and email non responsive. Even a letter sent to their address was ignored.
In the end I just got my bank to reverse my transaction but it took a couple of months. The company then FINALLY responded by refunding my money as well - so I had it twice. I wrote ONE letter telling them I'd been over-refunded and that I would not be telling them again, so if they failed to take the refund back then I'd keep it.
They did take it back - a lot faster than they'd refunded it!!
APALLING company - DO NOT USE. (I can recommend the Homebrew Shop though - they bailed me out when these idiots let me down.)
If you want your goods shop elsewhere.0 -

Everyone now been sorted out with a refund?0

Yes, it is true that this company has no customer service to speak of. For all the customers happy with this company then I am pleased for you. Just beware, when things go wrong you may wish you had paid attention to this forum.
To be fair to Brew-it-yourself/online-shopping-company, they are not the only shambolic online homebrew company. There are a number of others I have encountered.
Buyer beware, it's that simple. Internet shopping is great when it works but the problem lies when things go bad. I have the names of three excellent online companies if anyone is interested for a recommendation.

No. It is a competitor that has purchased a domain similar to brew-it-yourself (without the hyphens) to try to catch miss-spelt web addresses. This is usually a good thing, as it generates more sales from incorrect addresses.
However, if there are disgruntled customers, they may think that the two companies are the same. Perhaps not a wise move for the company involved to want to be associated with that name at the moment.0
