Like many others I was surprised to find that my refund has been credited to my bank account today, without being prompted by a Chargeback application to my bank? Had given up any hope of getting the money back, what with the news of the company going under and the website now down.

If anyone is after a recommendation for a new supplier, I would strongly recommend WINEWORKS.CO.UK. Good prices, super fast delivery, and Richard (of Beaverdale fame) is always happy to give advice over the phone.

That is a very enterprising bit of business by someone who nominet says is called Lee Crittall.
They have registered brewityourself co uk and then put an affiliate link through to "home brew online" based in York. I have used HBO twice and found them to be most excellent. I'm not sure they will be impressed to be associated with the Southend operation in that way though.

just been to check my order that i've been waiting for the last month and their website is down, as are their facebook pages. Any ideas if they're still trading? if they've folded it probably means i've lost my money as paid by debit and not credit card - i'm still hoping it's just a glitch.

By the way its a shame that all those beerkit reviews have gone.
I found them quite useful.
What a pity that someone didnt save the whole website to their hard disk.

Riddo- sorry for your trouble. post 529 asserted that the company have gone bust.
You might still have a claim against your bank with a debit card. Give them a call

well i finally got my refund through today, just as i thought damon had done a runner with my money,its just a pity i spent quite alot of time filling out paperwork to my bank for a charge back ,anyway my new order to the homebrew company based in ireland not essex should be here tommorow free delivery even though i live in the highlands which is mainland britain unless you want something delivered......rant over.anyway where was i yes free delivery .a nice non computer generated email reply to an order query.a phone call on tuesday to say something was out of stock what did i want to do?after waiting for damon to dispatch my order for33 days it makes a nice change to deal with a proper company.i'm still abit miffed that damon hasnt added me as a friend on facebook guess he must be busy

It seems that they have gone, and probably taken some businesses down with them along the way or made them get into financial trouble.

brewityourself was a different company registration, probably hoping to catch the ones typing it into the address bar wrongly. The correct one is brew-it-yourself. They do like the hyphens.

Well I'm really glad people have been getting refunds :money:
Top job everyone for all your hard work highlighting this outfit for what is really was. Just have to make sure this doesn't re-appear again.

We can all now get back to some decent brewing (and drinking!!:rotfl:), just had my second order delivered from artofbrewing, good prices, top service and got it next day despite it being free 48Hr delivery!!
