    Morning all,

Woke up with a start this morning when I heard the bin men crashing around, shot up and shoved some jogging bottoms on and ran down to put the rubbish out, I just hope I have not missed the recycling men as our bin is full to bursting. When I got back in I realised I had my joggers on back to front :rotfl:, I had said hello to two neighbours too.

Wet and foggy here, I think dd wants to go into town, she has a voucher which she wants to spend, and wants to start having a look for a prom dress.

Not sure whats for dinner, I fancy some nice veg, so might get a chicken or something if we go out. Not much left from xmas now, loads of cheese, which I will freeze if its not gone over the next few days, and a bit of cooked meat, which I am sure OH will eat, There are also chocs, but no huge rush with them.

Need to hoover through today, and put a wash on, its a funny old week this one, weather is too bad to do much, and there is not a lot to do, apart from watch films :D

    Have good days all xx

ETA what diet do you all follow? your own or do you join slimming groups?

I don't "diet", it makes me depressed and obsessive about food :o
What I am working on is changing how I eat. Thinking before I stuff food in my gob, savouring the taste rather than eating on autopilot and I have come to the conclusion one of my issues is my eyes are most definately bigger than my belly :o

    Morning everyone.
Feeling slightly better than yesterday. Went back to bed yesterday for 3 hours but I have developed a really stiff neck. I've been coughing so much I think I've pulled the muscles in the left side of my neck so consequently I can't turn my head very well. Ever feel like it's one thing after another  And my back appears to be complaing about my lack of activity over the last week or so. Honestly I need to go to the knackers yard
Not sure what to do with the kids today. DS is bored I think and wants to go back to school  H has gone back to work today so it's just me and the kids. My mum and dad are at home so might go and decend on them. Not much OS going on, not sure what to do for tea, it's all gone to pot due to Christmas :o
Put half the Christmas decorations away the day before yesterday. Just got the tree still up and not much else, will take that down probably Saturday, don't see the point in them hanging around once Christmas is over. I confess I find this part of the year a wee bit depressing. The fun and excitement of Christmas is over and I don't get what's so fun about New Year's Eve :o

Beemuzed - hope you don't end up with a chest infection xx

Hugs, spoons and high fives all round. Have a good day OS or not.

Hubby's set off into town, he want's to change his bank account as he only has a basic one.
I'm staying home to wait for DS who is going to look at my car for me.
I could do some housework, but probably won't bother, but I do need to get the iron out as I have some herb pillow to iron, before I fill them with herbs. So I'll probably do any other ironing needed.
Cheese salad for me for lunch, hubby will eat in town, one of the pubs does burger & beer for £5, a pint of beer with a huge burger, loads of chips & a plateful of salad, it's his favourite treat.
    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester

  • Good morning all,

Hope you all had a good Christmas, illnesses and cold weather permitting, of course! Ours was good, very quiet and peaceful which was just how we'd planned it. Alot's been going on here lately, I'm starting my new job next week :) I'm over the moon with it, but very nervous and lacking the confidence in my own ability. I'm sure I'll be OK when I get started and get used to being out of my comfort zone. I'm just so happy to have finally got out of the situation with my old employer: there's still possible legal action for me to take against them, but that will come with time.

Been a busy old day today already, car was booked for MOT at 8am this morning (it passed, yay!! :j). I need to get cracking on the house now for the post-festivities de-cluttering. The WM and TD are both going on shortly and I'll be making a trip to the recycling centre. No idea what's for tea, but I'm sure I can root something out of the freezer.

Hopw you all have a great day.

    MMM :)

The fun and excitement of Christmas is over and I don't get what's so fun about New Year's Eve :o

    B.

Exactly how I feel about Christmas - can't get the fun element at all, especially when reading about the stresses of cooking, cleaning, dealing with visitors etc.

Am sooooo looking forward to Hogmanay, hopefully we'll get to Glasgow for a genteel knees up! Bringing in the new year with friends is just lovely.

Today is a work day so I'm still in my jimjams contemplating the shower. Have portioned up and frozen the almost free tub of pate from yesterday, will do the same for the chicken and then probably get showered and dressed.

Need to return/exchange a couple of bottles of wine as the screwtops won't turn/break and we had to take a knife to one last night. Can't be doing with that each time, it's really dangerous too.

Got some more stuff to declutter too which will make me happy.

Hope everyone is warm and well, or at least getting better.
  • Morning everyone!

Damp and foggy here today. OH has gone to work and DS and I are nursing our colds/coughy thing. I may get out of the easy chair and make breakfast in a minute. DD and SIL still in London until tomorrow night and then they come back home for a day and return to Japan on New Years Day. Hopefully no snow at Heathrow :D

Lunch will be carrot and bean soup from yesterday, tea chilli or spag bol from freezer as I don't feel like cooking. Hooray for batch cooking! Breakfast will probably be scrambled eggs.

Hugs to all with colds/coughy thing. Kind thoughts to everyone.

    Take care

    Morning all

Still coughing like mad here, back and earache and got a temperature, feeling very sorry for myself. Hoping it starts to improve soon.

Bitsy, I always take the christmas decorations down on NYE, I like to greet the new year without last years christmas decorations.

Weight wise I doubt I've put much on over christmas but I do have some to loose from before when I was laid up with a bad back. Might try my work trousers on and see if they fit.

Have a great day whatever your plans.

I am new to the forum so just trying to find my feet. Planning on having a cooking day some chilli some spag bol and some chicken stirfry put in all in the freezer for the next week or so.
I too dont like New Year going to be worse this year as my mum died at the begining of December. Probaly just go to bed. But I am going to my aunts the next day for dinner. Hope you all have a good day.
  • Morning All!

Late start for me again :o M ears are sore again, and I was quite sick yesterday too. Feeling a bit better this morning though. I hope everyone else with the lurgy gets better soon :)

BB I was:eek::eek: at the thought of the poo, but I have to confess I also had to :rotfl:at the thought of you storming out the door for a drive for half an hour, I thought I was the only drama queen around these parts ;)

MMM Good luck in the new job

Halight, hope you're OK today, take it easy and don't overdo things.

Well what to do today? I am about to attack the kitchen cleaning - OH has been in charge for a couple of days and its looking a bit frayed round the edges ;) I have a washing on, I have stripped our bed, and may do the boys' too. I have some broth mix on soaking for soup, but its too late for today now, so that will get done tomorrow, not sure about dinner today, we never went to the cinema yesterday, and OH's night out has been postponed until the 4th, so we'll do Orange Wednesday tonight, and maybe sneak a little visit into pizza hut - kids are still eating free atm, so not too bad, all in. My diet is starting today too, back on the WW for me I think, Slimming World is not strict enough, I still eat too much, unfortunately my eyes are as big as my belly;):(

Hope you all have good days, hugs spoons and hi5's all round. Be good!
