Well that's DD back from her dad's and she is mega excited. She is 17 on Wednesday and her dad's girlfriend is a driving instructor and is taking her on her first lesson on her birthday. She has given her a token for 45 lessons :j. I am trying to be really pleased about this but I really hate her dad's girlfriend so am struggling a tiny wee bit. BUT I am going to be positive about it and fight off those negative feelings. But I do hate her :rotfl:.She will allow my daughter to have something she wants very much, very quickly as I could never afford to pay for it and she would only be able to afford a lesson every now and again.5 Year plan. Well curry was fab but as predicted DD treated it as if I was poisoning her and DS said it was okay . I despair. If I put pizza or chicken nuggets down to them they would wolf them down and rave about it :rotfl:.
Only spent £6 today and that was for kids lunches. No other spends so that is good. Back at work today. Was nice to see everyone. But sh*t to be back :rotfl:. Never mind I need to work to live.
Just had cancer research on phone asking me to increase my monthly donation. They are lucky to be getting anything anyway to be honest. I hate those type of calls as I always feel so guilty afterwards. I give to cancer research as it means a lot to me to do so but I get annoyed at being put under pressure by them at 8.55 at night . They never got an increase from me.
I was on my snowball tonight as I was marking up a CC payment that came out today and am very pleased that despite adding > £300 to my CC debt that my dfd is still the same. I know my fnal payment is higher but it would have been really depressing if that date had changed.
I hope everyone is hale and hearty xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Shame about the curry my kids are just the same I can spend ages on a meal for them to turn their noses up.
Good news about the DFD:j0 -
Wow. What a busy week. I hadn't realised that I hadn't been on here for days
. I've been good though
. Good on diet and great on spends so all is well.
Managed to pay £50 to ARGOS today so I am really pleased at that. Will need to join the new 100 day challenge. It really keeps me motivated to pay a bit extra when I can.

I am very pleased with myself. I was just looking at my snowball as is my wont ( I reckon I hope if I look long enough the debt will magically disappear) and realised I have reduced my debt by £1, 584.40 since January :j. Considering I am paying nearly £200 per month in interest I am really really happy with that and feeling ultra motivated again. I dont have mega bucks available to pay off my debts as my monthly budget is pretty tight so I reckon I am doing good

I think your doing amazing thats a great figure to have reduced you debt by in such a short time, keep this up and it will be gone before you know it. I keep track of how much interest I pay each month and find it really motivating seeing it reduce at one point it was over £800 now its about £390.MARCH 2016 DEBT £25750/ £25035

Herewego omg i would have had a heart attack for sure paying all that. That's brilliant that you have halved it. It is great to see it going down and it really does motivate you loads.
My daughter leaves school next year so my income will drop by about £60 per week so I have no choice but to get rid of this lot as soon as possible or I will be in real financial trouble. I can manage just now, but only just , but I will have no chance then and it will be my DS who will suffer as he will still be reliant on me for everything. I cannot allow that to happen. My belt is tightened so much it is choking me :rotfl:. It will be worth it though.
I'm going to apply to count the votes on voting night on May 5th so hopefully I will get picked for that and earn a few pounds.5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Thankfully DH had a very good payrise 18 months ago which allows us to overpay each month, although a few bad habits have appeared this year but im addressing that this month.
