  • Good for you with the letters- I hope they take it on board.

Your weight loss is fantastic- keep it up and you'll be super slim by the time the good weather is here. Hard when you're eating out but that pudding sounds lush.

I just can't seem to get started on my diet, in fact I put on a lb last week (making it 29lbs to lose) and I'm down to my last "fattest" pair of jeans that I can fit into so that should kick-start me into action hopefully. I will follow your progress for inspiration :)

  • Hi T.H I got 1 reply today from ARGOS saying this

I am sorry for any inconvenience caused. Having looked into your enquiry, all offers are a subject to availability at the time an order has been submitted. All offers that have become unavailable can be claimed up to 90 days, providing that the original receipt is supplied.

Not even acceptable grammar as far as I am concerned . So basically if I don't trawl around the different branches then I've had it. Well I will trawl round the shops lol because I am stubborn and I want it :rotfl:. No reply from ASDA but tbh not expecting much more from them.

Good day in training today as we were doing practical exercises. Looking forward to getting out and doing the job now. I will be managing mind you but it is good to know the processes so I can support my team.

Only spend today is £30 for this week's lunches. I only count these once per week as just too depressing saying £6 per day. Funny that it is exactly the same amount but feels better only diarising it once a week.

Gotturned down for the credit card I had applied for. Not too bothered tbh as I half expected it. I also got a letter from MBNA saying that they were changing how they would be taking minimum payments from me. Looks like my payments will be about £25 per month more than they were. Again I'm not bothered as that is the next card I will be tackling and the £25 is not interest but will come off of balance. So it is all good.

Terrible snow here again today and I want it to go and stay gone  Getting on my wick now. I stay at the top of a hill and we have about 3-4 inches again. Needed snow plough to clear roads and when we get to the bottom of our hill there is only rain. So this morning I was dressed like Nanook of the North with snow boots and everything on and felt a right prat when I got to work and it was dry :rotfl:. My niece and I now call this place Narnia as it is like a different land. Nice views mind you of Loch Lomond and Ben Lomond. Wish I could see them from my windows but unfortunately, no.

I hope you are all well xx

  • I just realised that kids are off on Thurs and Friday this week so no lunch money then so only £18 this week :D.

Watched biggest loser there. Not going to beat them this week with my weight loss . They averaged about 8lbs each except Karen. Dunno why she said she didn't know what was going on. She ate 10 chocolate eggs fgs . That might have had something to do with it :rotfl:. Silly moo

your just right in sending them letters especially argos, what are they playing at?!?! I hate getting refunds in tescos too, they insist on putting it back on the card and takes anything up to 10 days to clear into your account  horrible when the money is urgently needed, but the cashiers and customer service people don't care, your just a number to them!!

  • Good evening. Got the money back from ASDA. No reply to my e-mail mind you . Did say it would take a few days. That seems to be their stock answer for everything.

£30 to ARGOS today. Can't really afford to pay it but need to still find £37.82 per week to make my target this month so needs must. Forgot to take my lunch today so spent £2.89 on that . Bought a baked potato and ended up buying chocolate in our skamky canteen. My lunch buddies and I have been boycotting the canteen food as it is so awful so I was annoyed at forgetting my lunch as £2.89 wasted on sh*t grub :rotfl:.

I have a stinky cold tonight but hey ho I will survive. Can't give my mum a kiss and cuddle when I have a cold due to her lung condition as any infection could kill her. She was saying tonight that on Sunday night she was lying in bed and couldn't breathe. She had her oxygen on and was beginning to panic. She contemplated pressing her alarm or calling either me or my brother. When she rolled over in the bed to use the phone she realised she still had her teeth in and they were choking her :rotfl::rotfl:I really tried not to laugh as it's a wee shame. I'm watching my big fat gypsy wedding. I love it but if my girl asks for one of those frocks she can naff off :D

  • I could just cry :(. Do you ever feel that life is one step forward and ten back? That's how I feel just now. I'll feel better later and no doubt come up with a cunning plan but at the moment my bubble has been burst well and truly. DS has come home from school with a letter saying that there is a ski trip. I have just been talking to The Harry's about her child being offered a similar trip. DS's is in Austria and is £745 . DD went 3 years ago and he is desperate to take part in it. £50 deposit ASAP and if he is picked then balance will be just after the summer holidays. F F F F F F F !!!!!

hOW CAN i SAY NO?? I just can't. My mum will no doubt help me out but that's not the point. His dad certainly wont help me. Oh well I suppose it will just mean my DFD will go back a few months but he will have amazing memories.

ouch thats alot for a school trip. I will be honest though. When I was at school I knew money was tight for my mum and dad even though they never said it and we never went without (I could always just sense it though especially when my mum had health problems and only dad working) so when the time came for me to go on the ski trip I never gave them the forms because I knew they would tell me to go (like my brother did 5 yrs before me) and I didn't want that strain on them. Im gutted now though, what an opportunity I missed out on, the memories all my friends have that I now dont.

I know it will be tough financially but if you can do it Im sure your son would appreciate it, its the only thing you cant put a price on, childhood memories!

Also you just reminded me about gypsy weddings opps!!
