On strike today and had arranged for my loft to be insulated but guys turned up at 8.30 and my tank is asbestos so they will not touch it . I give up lol. That's twice I have arranged for that to be done and last time they couldn't get here due to the snow and this time they can't do it anyway. Never mind. No use getting angry over it.
Today I am going to collect my freezer and fill it to the brim :rotfl:.I'm all excited about getting it. How sad am I5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

 just spent £216 on an online ASDA shop . I'm getting it delivered as I bought enough to fill my new freezer and probably enough tins, dried foods , juices etc to last all month. I've bought vodka, wine and koppabergs for over the festive and loads of mixers too. There's no way I will be anywhere near my £350 budget this month but I will be having a go.
I went into my mum's all morning and got her all settled with the nurses etc and did a wee bit of Christmas shopping for her. No effort from me hardly and she was so pleased. Said it made her day nice and quick and was great to get some gifts in. Wee soul. Spent the last 1.5 hours on comp doing my online shop.
My brother is picking up my freezer as when I thought about it sensibly I would never be able to carry it myself and it is highly unlikely it would go in my car as DS's gift for Christmas was included in the order and I wouldnt be able to carry it either :rotfl:.
I'm catcing up with masterchef and thoroughly enjoying the chill out time. I love masterchef it is one of my favourite programmes and being such a foody it just makes me smile. Makes me hungry too mind you

Evening all. Well we had a baking marathon here last night. DD was arranging a cake stall in school and we baked like demons. Loads of fairy cakes, gingerbread men and cookies. One of the gingerbread mens heads fell off and i put it on the side with red icing all over the place and drew a white line round it in white icing, I then shouted on the kids screaming 'there's been a murder ' in my best taggart voice. Very silly but very funny. She did really well and lots of baking was sold
.
My asda shop was delivered tonight and I swear I could feed the street all month never mind just us. Brilliant having lots of freezer space. Made me smile. I loved being able to buy bags of veg as they are so handy for meals and casseroles etc. Also so cheap. We got 2 tubs of ice cream too which is a huge treat as we never have room for that in the freezer. Happy days :rotfl::rotfl:. I'm so easy pleased.
Thank god its the weekend although I do have a busy one in front of me. All good though. I hope you are all well xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

How exciting:D. I noticed in our local community advertiser that we had an architect in our very small town. I said to DD to e-mail him as she is currently applying for architectural degrees. She asked him if she could have a chat with him and if there was any chance of getting some work experience with him. He has answered really positivley and she is uber excited. She's online looking at Hunter wellies

What a day. Been in my um's since 8.30am. She has another infection going on. District nurses etc been in and out sorting her out. Very exhausting.Never mind. She's settled now and ate her dinner. Only bonus was I only spent £10 all day
. Going shopping tomorrow with a friend though so no doubt I will be skint on my return. Going to try and finish my Christmas shopping as I think as the weeks go by I am going to be busier and busier with my mum and at least if I have all the shopping done then that will be one less thing to think about. I'm going to get my cards written and delivered soon as well.
I spoke to DD there and asked her if she thought I should go on a mission to pay off the debt and try to do it in a year and she said yes that her and DS will support me wholeheartedly in that. So I am going to oin the debt free by Christmas 2012 and really go for it. I'm going to look at my snowball and see what I need to pay a month to achieve it. It will probs be way too much. I've added £1k to my debt buying for Christmas . I still have about £300 to buy as well. I am not a huge spender and have only spent about £300 on each child and although that is more than I can afford it is still mega small in comparison to what others will spend on their kids. I could easily spend so much more than that. My problem is that I have loads of people that I spend about £20 on and it all adds up. I also have 8 staff and even a bottle of wine for all of them comes to about £40 and I always bake loads and make sweets in the week running up to Christmas so that is about another £20. Never mind. It's adding a month onto my DFD but hey ho we'll have fun and I am not in the same dire straits I was in this time last year.

I'm feeling a bit low this morning. I was reading anoter diary and someone mentioned losing their best friend and I have realised that I am about to lose mine ( my mum) It is not a good realisation as it has brought me plummeting down. What the h*ll am I going to do without her. I know we are not quite at that stage yet but it won't be long and it could be any time b*gger, b*llocks, b*stard5 Year plan. hi MIT, I read your comment on the other thread and came to find your diary. I want to try and keep up with more diaries as I think its important to help and support each other.
Firstly - big hugs - you really have a lot on your plate and I am really sorry to hear about your mum - I can only relate to how I would feel in the situation and well.... there are just no words! x
Secondly - I think its so lovely that your children are wanting to go all out and help you out. I have a large loan left now that I want to reduce from 5 years to 3 - probably pushing it but I really just want rid of the debt now without wishing my life away too much.
Will subscribe and pop back when I can xx0 -
Thanks Lam and I'm normally more upbeat than this so please join in xx
