Still on the mobile for net access.
I managed to get 2 pics posted on crochet thread and frugal thread (https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3330476) I'm soo proud if them, but have still to add the features.
I'd really like to add a label to Miss Turtle, as she is a gift.
Does anyone know where I can get labels at a reasonable price, that I can then sew on?
Oh and how to do a French knot? Without using u tube, as it freezes my mobile .

Dizzy, I love ur makes :)

Hi Everyone, this is the first time I've seen this thread but hopefully I've found you just in time.

Its my daughters birthday next weekend (always last minute me!) and I wanted to get her a keepsake/memory box..this type of thing http://www.freyadesign.co.uk/keepsakeboxes_girl.html

HOWEVER at £59 for a personalised version I thought I'd try and make my own...

I've bought a plain box off ebay for £20 and I am going to paint it white then I wanted to write her name and 'My keepsakes' or 'My secrets' and maybe paint a flower or heart type design.

This is where I need your help...how do I sign write it? Obviously if I did it freehand it could looke 'very' homemade so I would like to give a professional finish...any ideas??

Doing it myself will make it more special and personal but I have just got to find out how to do it lol...I have done loads of searches on the internet but can't find a solution to doing the writing in a professional looking way.

    Thanks for any help

Do you paint the writing free hand?

Do you use paint or some kind of marker pen?

I hope you don't mind me asking?
