I'm back after finding out I was preggers earlier in the year everything else has taken a back seat but now I'm in the nice second trimester I really need to start thinking about Christmas and being organised. With an October baby I get the feeling if I don't start soon there will be nothing for christmas - except a cute screaming baby
Any ideas for presents for new grandparents/ aunties etc.. very gratefully received xx0 -
LauraD - We had a gorgeous framed photo of my nephew for Christmas which was a lovely gift x0

You have all inspired me with your wonderful makes! I've spent all morning (and most of yesterday afternoon/evening) reading this entire thread. I've lost count of the amount of windows open on screen after opening all the links to various blogs. If nothing else it'll keep me busy for weeks! I made a few presents last year, but mainly put together lots of hampers with loads of themes (Bombay Sapphire, Red Berries, Rugby, Gardening, Pamper/relaxation, lavender, JLS). I made my Dad a pot of gold which he loved, painted my Nan a picture of a rose and made my other Nan a box of handmade cards.
Plan for this year... another pot of gold, sock monkey for my god daughter, homemade handscrub... and probably lots more!!
I did just finish a project for fathers day - got a pint glass from the 99p store which had a flat bit on the front and used some Marabou copper outliner I had laying around to write 'Dad' on the front. I'm also making him a batch of Twink's Hobnobs as they're his favourite biccies!!Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not after you.:p

ClareBear - congratulations, my DS was born on Christmas Eve, I was very prepared that year (DD was 3), good job I was had to have a C-section, so not home until 28th! not happened since though!
LolaLemon - how awful for you, puts things into perspective! Big hugs.
Love reading about everyone's makes, you are all very inspiring. :T:T

Hi everyone! I'm hoping to make a few Christmas gifts this year. I currently make some baby gifts and handmade cards and I'm hoping that at Christmas I can have a little stall at my local fair too. Do any of you make snowman soup? If so and if you sell it, how much do you sell it for? x0

OK I only just found this thread so I will set it to subscribe to and will catch up tomorrow after work!
So far though I have decided on one of two homemade gifts
- the first being a scrapbook for my grandparents as they dont get to see
my kids very often.
- a 'good life' hamper for my dad and step mother. Still thinking of ideas to
add to this one but its getting there slowly.
Im thinking a pot of gold with a gift card hidden in it for several family members - perhaps a game-station one for my step brother (16) and a new look one for my step sister (18) and they can each have a scratch card each hidden in it too. But I was thinking for my younger cousins I wanted to do them a pot of gold too with a toys r us voucher each but cant exactly give them a scratch card so any other ideas?
My nieces then are getting Xmas eve stockings with pyjamas as more a Christmas but Xmas eve gift to help build the excitement for Xmas day.Time to find me again0 -
Hi everyone room for another one??
Ive read a few pages so far and will hopefully catch up properly a bit later, I just thought Id say hello
I don't have many people to get christmas presents for which is a shame as I love giving (well when they appreciate the things lol!) but Im hoping to do a few homemade things this year and some for my fiance's 30th birthday too.
So I hope you don't mind me stealing a few ideas and hopefully Ill have a few ideas for othersMay Groc challenge £51.70/£1300 -
