cuddles - button necklaces...........well last one I did is now hanging off a drawing pin on our dresser.......got it all done then it tangled up and so far I've not been bothered to sit and untangle it.......lol I've done them and nearly chucked them out but thats when they tangle as I'm making them.
There loads of tutorials but the one I used I put on craft tutorial thread -I'll bump it up for you. There's loads of different ones -mine do tend to turn over but it you put a little button on the back of a bigger one and do the same on the front then it doesn't really matter that much...........well I don't think so anyway. Depends on how perfect you want them to be.

    laura - love the pinnie:T

Couldn't find where I put my magnets this morning to put on the back of my knitting. So, when cleaner comes tomorrow I'll just ask her to do a quick hoover and bring a bin bag in this little room I'm in. Maybe as stuff gets chucked out that's just been shoved in here I just might come across them................lol:)
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Trow - I've never been that fussed by half pinnies either, especially as it's usually my top I get everything down :( But my mums elderly neighbour wears them all the time, she was wearing one when I gave her her present so I take that as a good sign :) Apparantly she' saving it for posh days and wearing down at her sisters - bless her.

Cuddles, lovely necklace, well done xx. I made some button necklaces for Christmas presents last year. I tried every way I could to get them to hang properly but couldnt work it out so in the end I drilled small holes in opposite edges of some large buttons then tied them together with bits of black cord until I had enough of a "string" of them for half a necklace then just put a longer length of cord for the rest of it. I made myself one and wore it with the knots on the back so you couldnt see them but the girls I made them for all liked them with the knots showing on the front, said it was more rustic. I think theres a pic of one of them on my homepage, have to go back to end of last year. I think yours looks a lot more professional than mine, its really nice. How did you join the wire onto the cord?

Lovely plaque Dizzytina, I daren't try another craft, have enough to do as it is, ExMil asked me to knit her a baby cardigan, just waiting for her to get me the pattern. What with doing my quilt and other sewing too lol, I wouldn't have said yes but she siad she will pay me so will be MSE. I like the thought of working with wood though, have always liked wooden things since I was a child, Rufus xx
