  • ShillHill, the 8200 points offer seems to have closed. Even Martins original posting about the offer now only refers to the 4000 points offer.

The information below is a copy my posting on the Sony credit card thread.

Interestingly, the Sony UK catalogue (selecting white font colour does not seem a good idea now) does not show the MP3 player for 8200 points, but the Sony Irish catalogue does.

Copy and paste from the Irish Catalogue below.

Just applied for the 4000 pulsebeats that should go towards a DVD boxset.

How much do I need to spend on a SonyCard for it to work.
Save saynoto0870.com in your favorites, and stop giving companies more £££ dialling 0870 numbers when you can dial freephones or cheaper alternatives
call your credit card company, tell them that you want to leave, 99% of the time theyll lower your APR%

  • jinkssick, No minimum amount as far as I know.
I spend just £3.50 buying shower curtain rings by mail order.
However this £3.50 will be on my card until I have paid of my balance transfer (12 months), and only then will I be able to actually pay it off.
However this £3.50 is also interest free for the first 3 months before I have to pay interest on it.

there seems to be some confusion over the bmi classic card and the free air miles offer. I have applied for the bmi classic and have received the card today. I have spoken to 2 people from bmi today one says i have the classic card which i applied for, the other that i have the straight forward bmi card. Either way I have been told that the 20,000 free airmiles only applies to the fee paying card (£60 a year) This contradicts the info on this site which says the 20,000 air miles are available from the bmi classic which is a NO FEE card. Can someone clear up the confusion. Is this site right or bmi?
    thanks

Well i applied for the sony card while they were offering 8200 pulsebeats and bought on the card as per their reward incentive, but they only gave me 2000. I rang them just before Christmas and they said
'...oh we will give you the other 8200 on your next statement blah blah...'
    still aint got em!
It's nice to be important but it's important to be nice!

If u think my post has been helpful, push my 'thanks' button cheers :)

....sony have just told me my points are about to be credited to my card... the mp3 player was supposed to be a Christmas present for my daughter... it may be an easter prezzy instead!

  • Well the (very) Nice Lady at Sony Pulse Points was right!
I received my MP3 Player today, less than a week after ordering it.
It seems to be a good MP3 player, or at least that's what the teenage son said. It charges up of the USB socket on the computer and also has a good display, which is not evident from the pictures. Guess I should have checked the spec first!
It was supposed to be a Birthday present for him, but he spotted the package first, and was watching for me to open it.
    Sneaky things teenagers.
    Happy.

  • Ohh, you lucky lot with your sony card 8200pts/MP3 player. Just applied for my card - which is now offering only 4000 pts = 2 and a bit DVD's.

The MSE website does need updating though as it mentions MP3 player and 4000pts in same paragraph :(

Fingers crossed my application goes thru as this is a nice freebie - cheers MSE!

Anyone managed to get around the 0870 number when redeeming pulse points?

For the ones having issues with the AMAZON MASTERCARRD for the voucher, use the 0113 number that I posted on here before as I paid off the balance, spoke to them about the voucher through this number alone.

plus its no 0870 but geographical.
