I'm a big fan of OPI and Leighton Denny too. Especially the suede finish polishes at the moment. Although they only las a day or so as you can't use a top coat with them
Save me from spending...

You can buy matte top coats now, which you can use to turn any polish matte. China Glaze matte magic is apparently the best but it's difficult to find in the UK. You can get it from the US via ebay though.0 -

What do you all keep your polishes in?? Someone I once knew kept hers in one of those old wooden wine box crate things and it seemed to be the right size for her collection....
I keep my 40+ bottles in an old fashioned vanity case.
I find that N07 are terrible on my finger nails, chip within a day and that's with a top coat, seem to be fine on my toes (odd that!)
The Nails inc ones are 'ok' take ages to dry and usually need a couple of coats (more with pale opaque shades) but again only last a few days with a top coat.
My fave for longevity are revlon, oddly enough collection 2000 (being one of the cheapest) and 17.*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!NSD Jan 2/150 -
I hate Asda nail varnishh. I have 2 and they're both watery as anything ): Such a same as the colours are gorgeous!
That's interesting, as that's one of the main reasons I like them! As they're thin, I can easily apply 2 coats to achieve perfect coverage. I hate thick, gloopy polishes which show brush marks...Cogito, ergo sum.0 -

maybe not as good as that one but i got a matt top coat from rimmel yesterday, was very suprised at just how matt it makes the colour.. can't comment yet on how it lasts as only put it on last night.
as far as favourite brands i like some of the barry m (some are rubbish) colours, rimmel but only the professional ones, no7 used to be ok but think they may have changed the formula some how as others have said are mostly rubbish. few times i have had a manacure the lady has used jessica and was impressed with it.
have got a couple of nails inc and not overly impressed given the cost, but know people who swear by them so guess different polishes do suit different people..think when i have used a few older bottles up i may try opiLead us not into temptation...
just tell us where it is and we'll find it....0 -
Hi all
Someone mentioned the sally hansen topcoat, think it was "StarryStarry" It really must depend on nails/ application etc cause i found it made my nailvarnish look dull and bobbly:o. I do like the nails inc topcoats and colours but really would love to find something with the same consistency and ease of application that doesnt chip so easily. Still hunting but will deffo try opi.
