Have OPI on my fingers, which I have done at a salon - Lincoln Park After Dark is my all time favourite :D

Do my own toes and am another Rimmel 60 Second fan - especially the darker colours

I just googled it, how stunning!

It also said it's the most popular shade, I'm not surprised:j

I've picked up a Wet n Wild polish from somewhere, nice looking bottle with a 'diamond' on the top.....

Put some on last night (only a light colour) but no chips or marks on it as yet and i've washed the kitchen down today......!!

Might be worth trying a dark coloured one..?

My favourites at the moment are the Barry M collection. I only have to put one coat on and streak free whilst lasting for ages. I could easily get two weeks out of one go. I also find Collection 2000 to be very good but the Rimmel 60 Second ones have let me down in the past. I received some No7 ones for Christmas so I'm hoping they will be good too.

  • I'm a nail polish fiend, but I have to admit my favourite brand is actually Avon! :o I own polishes by Nails Inc, Ciate, OPI, Barry M, Models Own, and more I can't think of just now, but Avon always comes out on top for me!

Avon: good rich coverage with most colours (only experienced one or two with thin consistencies), quick drying time, lasts 5 days on me with a top coat. Only downside is there's not a huge colour range compared to other brands.
OPI: my favourite as far as the range of colours go, I own some lovely colours from them. Currently wearing a lovely mushroom shade by them actually! Take ages to dry on me though and don't last longer then 3-4 days.
Nails Inc.: Also nice range of colours but a thinner consistency, meaning more coats, which means longer drying time. Lasts about 3 days.
Barry M: Good for a cheaper brand but is prone to staining my nails, even with a base coat! Drying time is decent and lasts around 3 days.
Ciate: very underwhelming for a mid-to-high priced range, chipped within 2 days on me and not crazy about the colour range.
Models Own: a very average range - average colours, average drying time and average staying power (2-3 days). Bit of a 'meh' brand for me. For £5 a polish I'd rather buy another brand.

Disclaimer: this is all my own personal opinion, based on my preferences, my nails and my application. I'm sure there will be some that disagree with my opinion and that's fine, I'm just sharing with you my experiences! :)

    Hi everyone!

I stopped biting my nails for the first time last summer and since they grew long enough to bother with nail varnish I have been going through the addicted to nail polish stage that I never went through as a teenager! :rotfl:

I have quite a big collection, started off with cheap ones then I have branched out and have a couple of Nails Inc/OPI in my collection.

Contrary to most, I find that the No7 polishes don't work for me at all - I have 2 that I bought with a voucher and they are so streaky and take ages to dry :( A shame because they are lovely colours, a dark teal and a blackberry colour. Maybe it's the dark colours? I also don't like the brush - it's too long to have proper control over it.
Their base/top coats are nice though.

By far the best for staying power are a couple of Beauty UK polishes I bought last year - they were £1.99 each from Superdrug! They last ages!

I swear by Seche Vite top coat, it's not great for stopping chips but it dries in seconds and gives a really lovely glossy shine. Quite expensive but I bought it with my Boots points! :money:

    xx
Ths signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it... :o
  • I love the Models Own nail varnishes, mainly for the fantastic range of fabulous colours, as mentioned above drying time is average, I can't comment on chipping as I have acrylics nail varnished don't chip but I have found lots of the colours give good coverage with just one coat :)

Models own, Barry M, China Glaze, Nails Inc!

    I'm nail polish obsessed
  • I love Leighton Denny nail colours and they seem to last for ages if applied correctly.

I always use a base coat, two coats of colour and then always a top coat of Seche Vite which is amazing - it dries so quickly. Normally i can be getting dressed and doing normal things within 5 mins of putting this on as it dries so quickly and dries the colour underneath. I think it was £14 for 2 bottles. I tend to get all my Leighton Denny colours from QVC as they do great sets and can be a lot cheaper.
