Good old pimp will be doing his bit buy selling 3 families properties at bargain post crash prices.

    Three cheers for the pimp.

I've noticed that you struggle a little when using the written word as your medium of choice for making a point.

Any chance of sticking to the cartoons - I'm never quite sure what the point is you are trying to make but they seem to keep you amused for longer periods of time.

I have no intention of attacking you. I'm all for being cynical and see this as a healthy defence mechanism against the sea of bullsh*t we have to deal with each day. However, to be as pessimistic as you is quite saddening.

What do you think is going to become clear in the next few years and how are you preparing?

You haven't started to DYOR yet have you. I highly recommend it

No, not yet but you've hardly narrowed down what I'm meant to be researching have you?

    Is it a secret?

You were doing okay up until "insurmountable". I, for one, intend to assist in helping the country surmount them and I think the majority of the good quality people in this country feel the same. As for your painful conclusion you could replace with "my wishful thinking".

I've just realised, this bulldog/Dunkirk spirit was spouted by a BTL landlord, the 'backbone' of modern Britain. How repugnant.

In what way sir will you be doing your bit?
Physical labour of any kind perhaps?

If you've a serious amount of money to invest, start here:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_0_30?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=a+random+walk+down+wall+street&x=0&y=0&sprefix=a+random+walk+down+wall+street

It has a strong bias towards equities and bonds but it will give you some ideas perhaps

Read and re-read Chapter 8 until you really understand diversification is my advice.

BTL, equities, bonds, gold, silver, mutual funds and goodness knows what else could turn out to be great investments in the future but nobody really knows. Go in with your eyes open.

Good websites for investments are fool.co.uk and ADVFN.com. I prefer the former as there are too many 'rampers' (people who are trying to push shares they own onto other people at a high price) on the latter IME.

If I had to give a single piece of advice it would be to diversify.

Have you just got out of bed on the wrong side and now you've had a couple of cups of coffee you've realised that the world isn't going to end any time soon and you're backtracking?

Don't you understand what DYOR means?

I do not see why I should spoon-feed you.

I had a feeling that you wouldn't be forthcoming.

OK. I'll have to keep drifting along in my optimistic little world ignorant of the disaster that's about to hit mankind.
