That business model may have had some success in the last decade, but I doubt it'll will do you any good now.0 -

I cant wait to sit back and let the money roll in :money::T
Quick letter to letting agent asking for full landlord's address.
Withhold rent (legally) until it's supplied. 5 months rent free in Sheffield flat, PRICELESS.0 -

The one thing that worries a bit is having people ring me up for repairs - I plan on making sure things are nice when they move in but I dont want them messing the place up. Id rarther let to a family as if they have kids and I tell them before hand any guff and there all out they should if they care for there kids keep everything in check.The-mouth-of-the-south wrote: »Money don't make my world go round, I am reaching up to a higher ground.

Idiot or troll, take your pick.
the smart money being on the latter.
it's quite nice the way that he manages to employ two of the three building blocks of online pwoperdee rampers' rhetoric in one thread title.
there's a bit of logos [argument by reason/logic] - a shortish but, ahem, comprehensive comparison of rental yields & interest rates makes it pretty clear that only someone who positively detested earning large sums of money would do anything other than get balls-deep into pwoperdee right now.
a large slice of pathos [argument by emotion] - "...secure my future..." - the implication's clear - in the days to come, those without pwoperdee will be left outside, alone, in the cold... those with pwoperdee will be warm, cosy, and safe... a proper womb-trembler...
in the very short OP he even slithers in a bit of ethos [argument by character] by claiming to have been a pwoperdee bear until very recently [hence proving beyond doubt that he's no ramper].
Hamish could learn a thing or two from this guy. With prices so high you're unlikely to be able to successfully encourage strangers to fill their boots with bricks & mortar without deploying a full rhetorical arsenal ...FACT.0 -

possibly.
the message would be more powerful though if you reminded readers that said money would be dead from a renter's perspective and [at least in the case of a leveraged rather than your apparent cash purchase] would be paying the landlord's mortgage.FACT.0 -

Or not...
The tenant could be paying less than an equivalent mortgage. Hence the LL is paying for the tenants deposit.
Or in the case of chav tenants. The LL could be buying a new kitchen/bathroom for someone as the tenants rip it out and sell to mates.
Or in the case of my mates student digs. The LL refused to fix the heating so they burnt all the furniture and stopped paying rent.0
